The collar should be 2 inches larger than the dog's neck when measured just behind the ears and large enough to slip on and off over the dog's head without discomfort.

It’s used for conformation dog shows like Westminster kennel clubs show. You use it for conformation training and dog shows. Nothing else. I would not use a collar this thin for every day use.
