Awesome item for the price but should be stronger considering the cost of this thing. I spent hard earned money on this and it should be better built even if it is made in China. Being a older disabled veteran on a fix income I thought I would tackle this job myself. To my surprise no screwdriver is included which adds to the cost so factor that in when purchasing. Trying to save money by not paying someone to install it wound up costing me $16.95 + tax for a screwdriver which is bad enough but then it was the wrong type of screwdriver. The ad should really tell people that you need a tool and what type of tool needed to install this properly. I wasted over two hours of what little time I have left on earth plus car fare to get the proper tool. Now I have a tool I might use someday so I guess that's good and the unsightly exposed switch box looks nice and clean.Update:Apparently I have installed this thing backwards. I had a guest come over from Meals on Wheels which noticed the incorrectly installed wall plate. What a nightmare this has been for me, if there was an instruction manual included this would've not happened. Luckily the nice lady fixed it for me with the tool I had. Now it looks even better than I had imagined great product but bad for no manual.Update 2:Short lived looks. This thing just broke a piece of itself off. I guess the plastic is brittle and either I or the Meals on Wheels lady compromised it at one point. Do yourself a favor and hire a professional to supply and install. The price was a lure for me that ended badly.

Does the job
I bought this one because it was way cheaper than the one at the hardware store. I did give the review 3 stats, but I'd still buy it again. The only downside is the fact that the perimeter is small, and doesn't cover as much wall as my other plate. That can be an issue if the painter didn't remove the plate before painting the wall, or if the electrician left more space around the outside of the gang box.But like I said, I'd still buy it again.

Summary: Ordered this specific switch cover plate after attempting tocut-out the old one, which was 30 years old, and terribly brittle.Recommendations: While $7 seems like a lot, you'd easily spend 30minutes trying to cut out the old one.Pros: LEVITON name brand; specific purpose.Cons: Cost.Conclusion: At $7, rating this 4-stars.
