Lee Women's Plus Size Relaxed Fit Straight Leg Jean

The wider a woman is the more variation there is in shape, which is why it can be harder to fit a size 16 than a size 7. That means that the actual measurements become more important because some size 16s are made for women with more waist, others for women who are more hourglass. These 16 relaxed have a 36" waist and 44" hips. I personally find them very comfy, but the waist does loosen during the day which is why belts can be handy as well as decorative. Because i only wear flats now i have had to hem these. Luckily, the inside fabric is much lighter in shade than the outside fabric, so hemming these is easy on the eyes. I would have given 4.5 stars if i could because i think that perhaps i might prefer these jeans without spandex, but since that option does not exist and the spandex does make them deliciously soft i went with five stars.Later note: the most recent two pairs i have ordered are not nearly as good as the first three. There are two reasons: fabric and workmanship. The fabric is thinner. It also does not have the lighter shade inside so hemming is much harder on eyes. The workmanship is more variable in measurements, so i had to take the legs up different amounts, and need a belt with one pair which is also a tad too long in the crotch. My suspicion is that Lee outsources production to various contractors with those varying in quality.All five pairs were purchased in early 2015. The two items in the second order cost more each than the better three.Summary: i would give the first two pairs five stars, but only three stars to the second two. Measure, measure, measure before hemming due to variability.

Be careful when ordering the color you want. I wanted a real dark blue, the Authentic Nile looked like the darkest pair but they are actually quite light. The Niagra which I also bought are nice and dark. Also be aware that the different colors have different fabric contents. The Niagra are 82% cotton as stated in the description, the Authentic Nile are 92% cotton so not as much spandex which means not as much stretch. All that being said I am mostly satisfied with the jeans. I have always like Lee jeans and have had a hard time finding them - was glad to get them.

Those pants are very comfy, light fabric - perfect for summer, very nice stretch. Actually too nice stretch.But I'm not sure about sizing. I'm tall and wear size 24 (sometimes fit into 22), 34" inseam. I was happy to find long/tall version and ordered size 24Long.33" (as offered here) is sometimes acceptable (if it IS 33"). Well the length of those jeans that I got is actually 32,5", which is a bit short for me. It could be 33" if I stretch it down, but who's gonna walk like this - stretching own pants down? And the stretch is sooo good, that I have to pull pants up all the time!I think I'm going to order a size smaller to try and hope they stretch down, as one one previous comments mentioned. And if they don't stretch - a bit short for summer will do.

I actually love these Jeans (I am in my 50’s) - they fit but become real baggy why wearing! HOWEVER IF YOU ORDER BLACK? IT MUST APPEAR IDENTICAL TO THEIR “EBONY OR DARK BROWN” -AMAZON SHIPPED “EBONY” READ THE LABEL BEFORE PLACING IN THE WASH!!! Obviously warehouse didn’t see much difference in Black or Ebony either! I Didn’t open them upon arrival. When I went to wash them & tore open the package- I was loading in the machine when noticed how “dark brown- but Not Black they were”! (I rarely wear Brown anything)”! Too Late to send back! These are great fit (I ordered 18 Long) in length & when I tried on the length was awesome (I am 6ft tall & all legs). After Washing All My Jeans- I air dry- never dryer! However, these stretch & stretch to the point they are too big & sloppy. I am concerned to “dry them” because the way they stretch. That Could also mean they will shrink! I will use in Winter when I wear “light underwear for x-tra warmth”. I am ordering a 16 Long to see if I don’t place in the dryer- they won’t stretch but remain somewhat great in shape! Or if I can get them on at all!

Fits well, very comfortable and flattering but came with an odd smell. Had to wash it repeatedly and even tried a vinegar rinse to get rid of the smell. Was starting to worry this was used before.

I'm curvy and wasn't sure which style would work best. After reading all the reviews, I ended up buying three different styles (all Lee/Lee Rider) - relaxed straight leg, boot cut and Flex Motion straight leg jeans. The Flex Motion are the ones that fit the best. Of the 3 pairs I bought, boot cut are going back. As other reviewers stated, they're just weird - too tight in the thigh and too much fabric overall. The relaxed straight leg are OK and I'll wear them, but they gap in the back and I have to use a belt with them. The Flex Motion gap a little in the back, but not so much that I need a belt. I've worn them for a week and they're still holding their shape. I love them so much, I'm ordering a second pair!

In today's skinny-jean culture, all the "normal" jeans that I usually buy (same brand, same size) are fitting way too snug. If I wanted tight jeans I would buy a size smaller. It's nearly impossible to buy the next size up in a tall size, as well. I am nearly 6' tall and can't wear a regular length jean. I'm one of those weird sizes you just don't find everywhere.Call me old fashioned - or just plain old - I don't care. I like what I like. I have been buying the same jeans for years, but this exact jean was no longer available in the usual places. All the skinny-fit ones in the same brand and size were, of course. I need to be able to move freely without binding when I work. My work jeans were all wearing out so - I went on a hunt for these.Before I found these, I didn't buy jeans on-line. I am very thankful that I broke down and did it. I bought one pair - mentally preparing myself to return them if they fit like the others in the store -- and as soon as I got them home and tried them - I bought 3 more pair. I know -- not exactly a fashion statement to own a closet-full of identical jeans -- but I don't need fashionable, I need to be comfortable while working. These fit like my old ones do. These will be a regular purchase for me. I just hope Amazon continues to carry them!

I was so excited when I got these jeans, they look great and feel great. I was disappointed they didn't fit. After reading so many reviews saying they fit large, I bought a pair one size smaller than my brain told me to, only to realize they were too small and I should have done my usual and ordered a size larger than I wanted. I have returned them and have ordered a larger size and hoping it will be good.

Good quality. Some stretch. Love the long size option—never find it in a store.

These definitely have lots of room in the butt and tummy, but are very tight on thighs if you are thicker there. In order to fit my legs it's a little loose on top, and the rise is quite short so you are tugging them up. Not great for pear shapes. I'll keep them because finding plus size pants is a nightmare and these are "ok enough". Material is denim-ish, not very sturdy so lumps and bumps show easily.
