Cant Use Any Other
So I have a pair of Timberland Pros that I use for work but they are steel toe so they can get really heavy after 12-hour shifts and I have to take them off at the metal detector. My duty belt and pants are all 5.11 and this company has never let me down so when I saw they had a similar style boot I had to order. I am never touching my Timbs again. These boots are so comfortable and they are lightweight, as a bonus, they also look pretty great on the feet and the best part is that unlike the Timbs these have a side zipper so no more tying laces. Also they are super quiet, I am a LEO and I don't always want to be heard when I'm coming up so these are perfect. 5.11 you never fail to impress, these are worth every penny, my feet thank you.Update: So it's been over a year and these boots are still going strong. Minus some creasing that is to be expected and wear on the sole, they still look brand new. Originally I got these for work but I wear them to everything. I have done 16 hour shifts with them and have spent an entire day at an outdoor range with unstable terrain and my feet barely feel it. I've also gone hiking in the Smoky Mountains with these. I had to be talked out of going to Disney in them because my boyfriend said it was tacky but that's just how comfortable they are. I came back to buy another pair because the insole is not as comfy and cushioned anymore but I will use this pair for the range and other outdoor activities and the new pair for work. They are pricey but they are worth every penny and will last you a really long time.

My review of these boots
I really like my boots, the zipper on the side makes it easy to take off my boots at the end of the day. I wear them for work 8-10 hours and they are comfortable. The only thing I would suggest the manufacturer do is add a good insole. I have purchased boots (another brand) with similar features as this one but the insole in bed other boots is nice it’s not just a cheap flat insole. It really makes a difference when you can find a good boot that is not going to be expensive and provide additional foot support. Other than that the boots here are good and the quality is good too. What I really like most about these boots is that they don’t look clunky (bigger) than the size itself. I have purchased boots that are great except that they look bulky or bigger than the size itself. The main purpose of a pair of boots is to provide good comfort for long hours!

Good fit
These are just a tad narrow, but I think my feet will survive, as they are otherwise very comfortable.

Maximum comfort and maximum efficiency
After 3 years in my first pair, with one insole change, I had to update to these next generation boots. For a job that has me on my feet for long hours, these provide maximum comfort. For a flat-footed, overprotonater, they feel supportive and The insoles feel supportive. The insoles feel good, the area around the ankle feels good, and the side zipper makes the boots easy to slip on and off.They are also extremely sturdy - I am on my feet in various conditions. The slip proof bottoms provide stability in wet conditions. The construction of the boot keeps out moisture in rainy conditions.I absolutely love these boots and as long as they continue to manufacture them, they will always be my go to tactical boot.

Comfortable, lightweight, hope they hold up.
Out of the box, these seem well made but lightweight. They’re very comfortable. I just got them for work shoes as a barista because I’m so tired of less than adequate women’s work shoes. I hope they hold up and are worth the money.

5.11 is my go to for any boots for the industry I work in: Security. My wife recently started helping the company we work at out and the first thing I did was get her reliable and most importantly comfortable shoes. These are it!

Didn't like how they fit
I wasn't happy how they fit. They hurt my feet

Not the same feel as the 5"
511 discontinued the 5" high top and I held off buying these forever but finally had no choice but to bite the bullet. They still fit in the foot, but the higher top is uncomfortable for me. I spent a fortune so I'll wear them out, which will take forever as they are made to last. I think I'll go for the lessor known brand next time to get the height I'm more comfortable with.
