Large bag, NOT moldy, but extra non-worm bugs in it too :o(
This bag was much larger than I expected and I usually avoid the big ones because for a long while there was a problem with large bags being moldy (I never had it happen, but there were many, many reviews complaining of this on the big bags), so when it arrived and it was so big I was a bit nervous. However, the worms are fully dry, no mold and for the most part like all other bags of dried worms I get for my hens. However, one thing that definitely is different is that there are other dried buggies in this too...beetle looking things, other things I can't identify, etc. They're all dead and dried out too, but it makes me wonder of the source for these worms doesn't have as high of quality control since there seems to be so many dried bugs hanging out with the worms wherever it is they "live" before they're dried out. This may not be bad - chickens love bugs - but it is kinda creepy and makes you wonder. So, for that I've knocked off a star....

Took a little coaxing but now the quail get excited for these
As delicate as these are, it surprised me that this size of a bag arrived with the mealworms unbroken. I have only had Japanese quail for a few months and they have not seen a mealworm before. They will chase after something that is flying or crawling but they didn't know what these were at first. I had to crumble them up in their normal feed at first but once they got a taste, they seem to flock to these like candy. The bag isn't like chips where the contents are only half the bag. This bag is FULL to to the top. It'll last my tiny flock for a few months.I've ordered a few things for the quail and often stuff arrives in the mylar bags that require scissors to get into. Manna's bag is easy tear at the top and it has a zip lock seal at the top. That's a nice touch to keep these fresh. The quail are happy so I am happy.

What can you say about worms?
They're WOOOORMS!I'm not sure what to say here as I'm unsure what qualities one might seek in a dried up worm, but I guess for me I like resealable bags and I suppose I don't like it when they come all broken or with other random dried bonus bugs (like beetles). My ducks could care less though. ha ha.I can happily say that these arrived in very good condition with high quality, whole worms and I haven't seen a single bonus bug yet - and the bag is resealable! So these check off all my boxes. Assuming they stay a competitive price, I will definitely buy this brand again! And I reckon if it matters to ya - these are on the smaller side of the meal worm size scale as I've experienced it in past brands I've purchased. :)
