Welcome to The Pride
I read this series almost 3 years ago and felt it deserved a revisit. I'm so glad I did. This is a quick read at just under 200 pages and such a super sweet story. The way Logan and Natalia meet is adorable. She's a chef and he just doesn't think she cooks his steak right. After sending it back a couple of times, she visits his table, puts him in his place, and even tries to kick him out of her restaurant. As it turns out, Logan is drawn to her for reasons unknown to her. She doesn't know about his kind.Only his secret is revealed as he saves her from her ex-manager and she runs away!As it turns out, there are more truths to the myths that she's only ever read about than she was ever aware. Even her best friend is hiding a secret of her own.So welcome to The Pride. Join me as we revisit the series and get to know the Chase brothers.

Good Lion Shifter Romance
(RabidReads.com)Sometimes I just want a quick read and Thrill of the Chase fits this bill quite nicely. Lion shifters? Gimme! I liked it so much I have already bought two more in the series. Each book tells a different Chase brother’s story. In this author’s world building, Lion shifters are dying out. There’s only one lioness left that is of child bearing age, and she’s not a part of their pride. To that end, the brothers meet for dinner at a newer restaurant in a trendy neighborhood to plan for their prides future. When Lion shifter and corporate raider, Logan Chase, sends his steak back twice and asks to speak to the chef, little does he know that his destiny is going to come face to face with him, and then kick him out of the restaurant! Natalia is about the only thing keeping the small restaurant from failing. A Le Cordon Bleu graduate, she knows how to cook a steak and she is just mad enough at the restaurant manager for his misdeeds, that she doesn’t have time for a customer who tries to tell her how to cook his already perfectly cooked steak.Natalia was a feisty heroine, to say the least. She’s human and knows nothing about the paranormal world. When Logan tricks her into another meeting, she knows she is attracted to him. On Logan’s part, he knows she is his mate, plain and simple. Logan is leader of his pride and the eldest of five brothers-all of them living in a huge mansion. He’s used to getting what he wants and now he wants Natalia. The author employs the use of a shifter instantly(more or less)recognizing his mate in this story. I have no problems with that because that is part of the nature of shifters. That being said, I think Natalia falls for Logan a bit too fast, and it wasn’t as believable for me. Oh it’s not one of those jump into bed immediately ones, but it wasn’t a slow burn romance either. I did think the way Natalia reacts to Logan as a Lion was one of the most realistic reactions to a shifter that I have read. I can not stand it when a human barely reacts to seeing a shifter shift. So I liked how the author handled this part. Keep in mind, these are not really spoilers-not when you go into reading this knowing it’s a paranormal romance.Sure shifter romances are a dime a dozen these days. But some do stand out for me and I do have a few favorites. This one was well written, the characters seemed very realistic-regardless of the paranormal element, and I really mostly enjoyed the romance. In addition, some of the brothers really stood out for me and made me want to read their stories. That could have been all, but the author also threw in some suspense and dangerous moments for Natalia and I thought that worked too.All in all. this whole book worked for me and I read it in one sitting. It had humor, a helping of angst, a few steamy moments, and I highly recommend this to adult paranormal romance fans. Me? I am left wondering how I had no idea this series even existed until now!

Deliciously Enthralling
I have read many authors in the genre and find this one very captivating. There is plenty to keep my attention and some seductive scenes to highten the intrigue. I loved the Lions and am eager to read the rest of the series. It was easy to imagine the story as it evolved and a few twists made it unpredictable. I had a hard time putting it down! This is definitely one of my new favorites!

Pretty good first
3.5It’s my first of this author and I thought it was cute! The idea sounded interesting to me so I started it as soon as I got it. I thought the pace was very fast and I’m not exactly a fan of insta-love when the story doesn’t last a long time, and I didn’t think there were that many moments to convince me of this sudden love fest. Which is why it felt so weird to see her suddenly go 180 but- yeah. The twist was unexpected, and part of me didn’t know how to feel because of how much I felt for Logan. I liked the brothers, the feel of it, the idea. I liked that, despite it hurting me, she hesitated and reacted so poorly toward a crazy situation. It made it “normal”. To be honest though, I wouldn’t have been as happy if her attitude consisted of majority of the story. I don’t find those kind of storylines entertaining or nice.I didn’t really enjoy the ending sex because it just seemed so different from the vibes being pushed, but that’s me. I’ll probably check out another book from the series but I thought the writing was okay, even if the putting-together was weird for me.

Entertaining shifter/human romance
I liked this paranormal story with a human h and a lion shifter H. The story is told in first person POV for the h and third person POV for the H. There was no ow/om drama, both were focused only on each other from first meeting. It is quick paced in terms of him recognizing her as his mate and feelings stated/shared early on. I would have preferred for more background information, esp on the h who clearly had some trauma in her past that's not delved into, and more on-page relationship connection. However, this was a quick, entertaining shifter read. There's some suspense happening with a shady manager of the restaurant the h is the head chef for, which is also where the H and her meet in a really funny/cute scene. I really enjoyed that her reaction to learning about shifters wasn't watered down and felt realistic esp with some emotional will she/won't she accept him. I also loved the H's brothers, who make up the rest of the pride, and who have their own stories. Great steamy scenes and a sweet HFN ending.

Great read
Loved this book, a complete story that I can see having follow ins, took a twist I wasn’t expecting and that made it different and kept it interesting. Strong characters and it wrote clear pictures in my mind ...yum yum..is that for the food or?..?

Really enjoyed it!
This is my first book by this author and really enjoyed it! I don't typically buy paranormal romances since they are too "out there" for my taste but I liked the strong female character in the blurb. Intriguing story, some funny moments, some steamy scenes. In fact, I liked all the characters that I bought the rest of this series.

Logan and Natalie’s journey to love.
Natalie is an in demand chef who allows no nonsense in her kitchen nor any outside involvement. After rejecting two meals, she went into the restaurant and met Logan who was upset how the steak was cooked. An argument ensued and Natalie barred him from her restaurant. His brothers though were fed and took great delight that their brother was barred.A lot happens after this which makes the book interesting and exciting, thoroughly recommend this read to you.

Thrill of The Chase
A neat story about survival in a big city when you are a shifter, and someone else is a human. Crooks and bullies lurk in the dark alleys waiting for the weaker prey to cone close.

Okay way to pass an hour but lacking full story
Yet another shifter book but okay, although lacking in character development. Suffers from the insta mate issue. No back story, no real interaction between H&h. But still fun. Not one that I would read again but a pleasant enough way to pass an hour.
