Use a rubber mallet or a hammer with a rag taped to the head or you will damage the coating! Setup is a bit difficult with 1 person but not unreasonable. But after that it is sturdy and exactly the right size.

This is the 5th Muscle Rack shelving I have purchased over the last 2 years. The first four I bought are still in use and holding up very well. They are great - easy to assemble, good shelf material, holds a lot of weight. Whenever I need serious shelving for the shed, basement or garage Muscle Rack is what I purchase. I highly recommend Muscle Rack.

I purchased 5 and found that they were easy to assemble (assembled all within 90 minutes), sturdy and level. Did not need extra hardware. I did have to call and have a long bracket that was missing sent to me and it arrived within 2 days.

Great size, using it as pantry storage in a small apartment. Easy to assemble once you get it started (did it by myself and I am not very handy). Love that the shelves are boards and not open shelving. Holds a lot

The bad reviews don't lie. I thought perhaps people were being harsh. Oh, it is difficult to assemble and the half way point is nearly impossible and the entire shelf started to bend over and collapse with the weight. I was luck and steadily push on it to hold it until help came. So I used a hammer to push the boards and together better. The particle board is weak and the frame is unsteady. I finally got it together and was wondering how to strengthen it somehow.It is super heavy but unstable. I put light product on it because I fear it might collapse.

Spend the extra money and avoid plastic storage shelves. These shelves are great, very sturdy. I needed them to replace my “heavy duty” plastic shelves that collapsed. I have the same amount of stuff on these that were on the others and these shelves have held up completely fine.

I love this product so much it was exactly what I needed. I could really use another one but no longer available until next year and the price has almost increase 30%. I wish I could get another one for the exact same price.

As another reviewer pointed out, the shelves are impossible to assemble as directed. We had to buy nuts and bolts then overlap the corner posts and screw them together. It increased the cost by $15. I own a different brand of “ muscle shelf” which is better made. I made the mistake of assuming that all “muscle shelves” were alike. The pressed board shelves are thinner and the braces less sturdy. The connectors are too short to secure the pieces easily and impossible when overlapping. There are no intermediate connection pieces included and they are no longer sold on Amazon. If you are willing to put in the extra work they are a good size and can be described as adequate for normal household storage.
