Nice
The yarn is beautiful, but it was not as sturdy as I thought it would be. I haven’t decided what to crochet with it but it will probably be a throw for my bed.

Great value and an excellent product.
About 3 weeks after placing my order I received all the way from Varna, a jewel on Bulgaria’s Black Sea Coast and the best little European coastal city nobody's heard of, a well-packaged skein of Zuzu Hobby’s cotton yarn in colorway 811 (inspired by a rocky sea coast). There are several fabulous colorways available. The skein is a center pull (with the tail tied around an adorable wooden die cut heart shaped charm – no frustrating search for the tail here!) containing a generous 984 yards of what appears to me to be fingering (US size 2) for knitting or Size 3 cotton thread for crochet. This is 10 plies of THREAD loosely twisted and is NOT mercerized. While working you will need good lighting and have to be careful not to split the threads. Once worked into a fabric the texture of this thread is smooth, soft and drapes beautifully. There is an itty-bitty knot at each point where the new color in this multicolor skein is introduced. Do not make the mistake of cutting this knot or trying to pick it out. It is so small that it will not really be noticeable in the fabric. Trying to seamlessly blend up to 20 strands of what is essentially the equivalent of fine sewing thread would most likely be a true nightmare. Keep the knot, avoid the nightmare and love your project. I doubt the knots will ever work themselves out and if somehow one did it would not cause a hole in the work due to how the colors in the skein are blended together. Heed my advice; you will bless me and all my decedents forevermore if you do.The label classifies this as #3, or DK weight yarn and suggests US 1 – 3 knitting needles or B/1 – D/3 crochet hook. I crocheted the Virus shawl* using a 1.75 mm steel hook (US size 6). If using an aluminum hook probably a 2.25 mm hook would work well (US size B/1). A hook larger than 3.25 mm (US size D/3) would most likely be too large for this thread. But, I work at a rather loose gauge so experimenting with different hook sizes will most likely be the best course of action to take given that every person’s gauge is unique. The price, including shipping, is reasonable considering the generous yardage in the skein and the fact that it is traveling a great distance over mountains and oceans to your door. I recommend this product and will buy more myself.*The Virus shawl is a free pattern available in chart form. If you’re familiar with crochet chart symbols reading this one is a breeze. The 4-row repeat is easy to memorize and you won’t have to refer to the chart very often.

Soft Cotton
When I purchased this yarn the ad clearly stated that it was a super fine 1 weight but I wouldn't categorize it at that, yes it's thin but not that thin, I am using a 3mm hook and it's perfect, nice weight for a lap robe and not holey. I love the softness and quality of this yarn and ordered another one. At the time I purchased it I saw a few reviews that gave it a bad rating because it was thin...it says right in the ad that it is a fine yarn so their mistake should not have been reflected in their review...sorry but that is just wrong, you need to read the ads and not just look at the pics. This yarn could be considered somewhat splitty so an inline hook would be more difficult to use but I use a rounded tip hook with a straight shaft and have no troubles. I love the way it crocheted and 2 of them using a 3mm hook makes a nice size lap robe...my pattern is a solid weave and fancy not lacy so a lacy one would most likely be larger. The color changes are different than other yarns I've used and depending on your pattern, you may or may not like them but they worked for me, lovely. At any rate, I love this yarn it is pretty and crochets up pretty.

Nice but Thin
Nice yarn but I found it to be thin. I'm thinking this yarn would be good for a blanket.

As expected, true to color, plenty of yardage! Soft!!
If you read the description of the item, it straight up tells you it’s A) All Cotton B) 984 yardsC) Superfine/light fingering weight. It’s all those things. Very soft. The colors are very true to the pics shown. Reason for 4 stars is because I’ve yet to use it. Will update afterward, when I can determine if it splits easy, how it take stitch definition, drape, handling, etc.

Not really the best gradient..
This yarn is easy to work with. It has a good mix of warmth and drape. However, it's really expensive for the amount and type of yarn. I was able to crochet a large virus shawl fairly quickly. I think the colors could transition better (they are pretty rough and drastic transitions at the moment). So my shawl looks like it's dark grey, then very suddenly pink. And for that reason, it might be better if I color controlled it (cut each color separately and intentionally switched every line).

Great value!
Great value. This is a Large skein. I wish the graduation was closer together, but I’ll just tie off and add the colors as I want. Beautiful to work with.

Buyer beware!
If you are going by the photo provided on Amazon and expecting a fairly large skein, you'll be sorely disappointed... as was I. The image provided makes this look so much larger. Please check out the measurements provided. I sure wish I had! If I had, I NEVER would had paid over $30 for this product.
