My dog "escaped" on a busy road when the clasp opened on this leash! It was scary, but fortunately we were able to grab her collar before she was hit by a car. This happened three times with this leash now. Something is wrong with the clasp. I purchased other leashes from this company with no issues. All work well. This leash clasp is malfunctioning. I wish I could return the product and get a replacement but it has been too long. Don't take for granted that this type of leash will keep your dog attached. I will no longer use this leash.

I really loved this leash, I've been using it for three months and the color has held well the bright red shade and it doesn't have signs of wear to it. However, I've been noticing that the rings in my dog harness keep being unclipped from the leash. My harness has two rings, so at the beginning I thought I wasn't clipping it properly on both rings, until recently I realized that the clip in the leash has a design such that it unclips itself when twisted in the harness ring. I still cannot understand how this happens, but it has been happening to me since I bought it and recently I had a safety issue where my dog completely detached from the leash in the middle of a busy street because it unclipped from both rings. I had read something similar in the reviews, but since people are generally happy with it I didn't pay too much attention. It seems that this is an issue that has happened to other people as well, and as an unexperienced owner I just could not imagine how dangerous for my dog this was. I just wish they changed the clip, it would then be a great leash. Now I cannot use it anymore, which is a shame because otherwise it is in perfect condition.

The leash itself is very sturdy and a quality product but the clip at the end where you hook it to the collar or harness is not good. Something about the design makes it able to come undone when it gets twisted on the ring. I really liked this leash until it came undone a few times and my dog ran into the street. Luckily no cars were coming and I was able to get him to come back relatively quickly. Unfortunately I can no longer use this leash. After playing with it a bit I found that when the clip gets twisted on the ring of the collar, the ring will actually push the large button on the clip and release it. I can not recommend this leash with this clamp to anyone. If the company changes this part it will be a great leash.

I loved the color and the leash material, but this comes unclipped from my dog constantly! I use an extra martingale clip on walks and this leash clip comes undone about 3 times every walk when my dog either is just walking or gives a little shake. Thanks goodness I have my own extra clip on there or my dog would be long gone by now using this leash.... I’m going to have to throw it away as it simply does not keep my dog attached and safe.

I just threw this away because today the clasp came undone for the third time without me touching it. the first time it happened I was taking my puppy out of the car and when I put him down in the ground the leash was not attached to his collar. I thought somehow maybe I forgot to clip it, but I could have sworn it was on him when I put him in the car. It came undone for the second time just minutes after the first...still not sure how it happened. I stopped using the leash, but before I threw it out I decided to take a closer look to see what the problem might be. The only thing I could figure out was that the clip did not need much pressure to be pulled down, therefore opening and coming unattached to the collar. I decided to give it one more try....all was well until I dropped the leash inside my back gate to let my pup run to the back door. I turned around to lock the gate and when I turned back the leash was laying on the ground, not attached to my pup! I have no idea how it came off. I guess you get what you pay for, but in this case I was hoping to use it more than a couple of times.

I bought this leash in green and pink for my pups and the first thing you notice is how bright and vibrant these colors are! The next thing you notice is how thick and durable the material is. The hardware is also very durable. I wouldn't recommend for a very small dog. The clasp at the end of the leash is very bulky. But these work great for harness clips. The loop/handle is very comfortable to hold onto, even with a pulling a dog at the other end. I would absolutely buy these again.

This leash (and the matching martingale collar) is exactly what I expected. It has been very durable (despite my dog's chewing on it, which hasn't affected it). It is easy and comfortable to grasp even when my dog pulls. The color (lavender/purple) is nice. I wanted a leash/collar set for a girl dog that wasn't pink. I get a lot of compliments on the color.
