Schladminger Wanderschuh Orthopedic shoes with Air-cushion sole + waterproof

Always obsessively looking for a better, more comfortable shoe, I tried these.I have arthritis, metatarsalgia and neuropathy of the feet, and to make it worse they are size 13 and wide. Its very difficult to find comfortable AND practical walking shoes, ie waterproof and good on mud, uneven and slippery ground, with a proper safe fit. ..so they need to be strong and have a stable platform. These shoes are waterproof, are a soft and glove like fit whilst giving a feeling of hold and stability. The width fit is good too, being wide enough for me. Normally I take a 2E, a wide shoe. The leather is thick, so I’m expect it will last for years given some wax. The description of the shoes mentioned clever cushioning within the sole layers and I believe it is working.I may try adding a gel innersole later for my metatarsals, once they have settled in and stretched a bit.The painful feet never get better but a shoe that doesn’t aggravate the condition is welcome, and I think these will allow me to continue walking on the hills without giving my poor joints a hard time.I’ve never heard of the Gritex waterproof membrane used but it appears so far to be breathable. They are beautifully lined in a cambrelle type material and there’s soft leather areas on heel and tongue for comfort. The tongue is gusseted so pretty water tight. All appears to be a quality shoe at a decent price. I notice more variety of Schladming shoes on Amazon DE.

comfortable, durable....helps with the archilis tendolities in my foot......surprisingly very stylish too.....quite a few people commended me on my choice of shoe
