Hamiton Beach Electric Tea Kettle, control, Black (Discontinued)

This is a great little kettle. It's been working well for us for a few months now. We pretty much only use the one setting - black tea. But the keep warm feature is really useful, especially in the mornings - I can set the kettle then go finish getting ready and come back to the kitchen for a nice hot cup of tea. Love it!

The finish of the metal is nice. The pre set temps are great, it makes a lovely cup of green tea for example.The start stop text on the button has started to wear off. I think this is a minor issue, as it does not impact the functionality of the kettle. But it does cheapen the perception of quality somewhat.

Bought tea kettle for our son Like the temperature presets and dark gray/black brushed finish.. However,the boiled water in the kettle has a strong plastic smell. Repeated boiling/ rinsing has not had any effect. He will try baking soda and white vinegar next. If this does not get rid of the plastic smell/taste, I will be returning this product. Either way i'm disappointed that after a week he is still unable to use his kettle.

I love the fact that this is so quick to heat up, and as a lover of various teas, I love that the water can heat to a specified temperature!

Like everything except I have to program the settings every time I lift it off base, there should be a way to keep the current set in memory

Huge upgrade from the free kettle I had for years. The temp setting is on point and easy to use. It heats quickly. Auto shuts off at the desired temperature, and keeps warm long enough. Easy to clean. Easy to use, love it for the price.

I tried multiple ways of pulling the cord out, but I cannot extend the cord rendering it useless. I am sure there has to be an easy mechanism to be able to pull the cord out and have it roll back in. Can someone please help! Or else I will have to get a refund.

Terrible plastic taste and smell inside and in the water, even after following all cleaning instructions.

how can i get warranty on this kettle , it died in 5 months last time with amazon
