It is a beautiful book but my 6 year old does not like it. She might like it when she is older .

I bought if for my six-year-old granddaughter to familiarize her with Matisse, prior to taking her to the Matisse exhibit at the Boston Museum of Art. She had been enjoying painting flowers and was thrilled when she recognized the paintings like the ones in the books.

Fun! Gives a great introduction for children to Matisse.

Lovely book for kids - daughter who is 9 is very happy with it, and we bought the other two titles in this set for our other kids as well.

One of the most creative, innovative art history books for kids. I have a degree in art history & wrote my honors thesis on Matisse and can't say enough great things about this series. If you love art or your kids do, get this gorgeous series!

Absolutely beautiful and amazing. I love this book! My nine year old received it for Christmas and I enjoyed it as well. I want to get the other two soon. I wish she made more about other artists. Such a great book.
