Wow
Absolutely love this. I specifically wanted a water feature that wasn’t mains powered. Nearly all of the solar ones I came across were ugly. Then I came across this.Firstly, it’s well made, but it doesn’t feel heavy. That’s because i feels in part that it’s made of plaster. I’m not a DIY genius so don’t know my materials well, but it “feels” like plaster. When you knock on it it sounds very hollow. It’s definitely not made of any kind of stone. But none of this matters because when it’s full of water it’s weighed down sufficiently and looks like it’s made of expensive material. It’s clear from reading other people’s reviews and all of the questions that some people just don’t get how to set up correctly. The wires you need to connect to the solar panel are in a compartment at the back of the water feature. One plug which is for the lights simply plugs into the socket labelled lights. And the other cable is for the pump and plugs into it’s labelled socket on the solar panel. To turn on you tap the sticker that says on off. It’s not a clicky button, just a sticker with flat button underneath, so quick tap and it’ll start pumping water. To turn off you press that same button for three seconds. Before doing so, simply place the pump in the tank at the bottom of the water feature. Then fill the inside with water. Well not completely full but almost. Then put some water in the lower bottom bowl outside. Turn on, and watch the pump pump the water out from the bottom inside of the water feature up the middle to the top bowl, and it’ll flow down and down until the water keeps cycling round. If you put too much water in, then you can always catch it when it flows at and pour away.At night it looks beautiful with the lights on...so long as the battery is charged enough. On a clear sky sunny day, the solar panel charges the battery so that when the sun goes down it’ll still flow the water and display the lights. As well as charge the battery, it also simultaneously runs the pump in the beautiful sunshine. On a day with broken clouds, it’ll charge (and run) when the sun is out and then rely on charges energy when the sun goes behind the clouds. On a dark cloudy day without any sunshine it’ll only run if you’ve got enough energy stored from when it was previously sunny. Of course on a sunny day, you can switch it off and just let it Solar charge without it using any of that energy pumping water round. It’s a great water feature. Quite expensive though and I’m surprised it’s not forty or fifty pounds cheaper, but I’d still recommend it as it’s easy-ish to set up and super easy to operate. Family and friends will be very impressed.

Provides an interesting feature on a patio, or in a conservatory
This Water Fountain is reasonably easy to assemble and maintain, and has given us some pleasure and relaxation this summer. I had no problems putting it together, but it helps if you read other peoples' reviews beforehand. The light feature is fairly basic, and doesn't make much of an impact in a garden, but it might be more prominent in a conservatory. I can re-assure everybody that the solar panel and pump work OK in dull weather, as well as bright sunshine. I found the sound of the fountain was improved, and made more like a trickling stream by adding some small attractive rocks underneath the streams from the 2 waterspouts. You need to experiment a bit. In general, a useful addition to my garden. Reasonable value for money

Brilliant.
It came well packaged, good job as the packaging was damaged but no damage to the bowls. It looks good and sounds relaxing when running as long as the battery is charged by the sun. The little lights in the bowls are a nice touch looks great at night. It's smaller than our old water fall but that's no problem. The pump seems good but like the old one time will tell. This time we are using additive to help. I would recommend.

Beautiful water feature.
This is my 2nd purchase from Direct Global. Love this water feature. Its a good size and a sturdy quality.Easy to set up and is so calming when it is on. A perfect addition to my garden along with the set of cascading bowls I bought from them too.It works in the shade as it has a battery back up, which I find is brilliant on the cloudy days. I always clean the bowls when they become a little green from the water. This happens with any water feature. I would suggest doing this as it stops the pump clogging up and will keep it performing to it's best.

Love this, looks fab in the garden.
Thus looks so lovely in the garden. Was really easy to set up and once I worked out how to set up the solar panel, I was amazed how well it worked in even slight sunlight, it comes on without fail.

Nice until it suddenly stopped working!
The solar fountain was easy to install. It worked well for the first summer. After storing it away for the winter - come spring it didn't work. The seller sent a new solar panel and that fixed it. This year I kept it out all winter and after preparing it for spring it initially worked well. But after a few weeks the same problem occurred and the fountain didnt work any longer. But both the seller and Amazon won't accept any responsibility this time and so I'm stuck with a fountain that doesn't work. So I advise not to waste your money as it doesn't last more than a year without new panels every year! Not worth the money.

So far, very pleased!
I received this a few days ago and this evening I tried it out properly (after there was enough sun to fully charge it up, which is surprising given that this morning it was so cold I had to de-ice my car). It works beautifully! In the dark, the lights come on and it looks very pretty. I love that I can just move it around too. I can't wait for summer to arrive so I can sit outside on a warm evening. I guess my only slightly negative comment would be the colour. A lighter grey, or even a dark green would be nicer, but once I have some planting around it, it will soften the look. I fill mine from my rainwater butt, and the sun powers it. Marvellous!
