Well edited and produced. The chapters are long and packed with really important and useful information. Unlike some textbooks, Berger is not afraid to keep aspects of the discussion in first-person. This is really helpful when dealing with subject matter that lends itself to individual opinion. It is clear that Berger has spent a long time studying, researching and observing, making her commentary relevant and worthwhile. Everything from birth to death is examined in detail, tracking development across all systems, including neurological and psychological, cognitive and emotional. It's an excellent resource when looking to understand humanity and prepare yourself for life with children, whether a teacher or a parent.

Satisfied with my order, as the book arrived within a reasonable amount of time, I've barely started to get into the book, and yet jt has sparked some intrigue; but I purchased this book for a college course. I found the first chapter rather dull but subsequent chapters have become more comprehensive. Other than that, the book came on time and its a quality text.

Needed it for College curriculum . It’s a nice book and I passed the class! So I cannot complain at all.

I rented this book for one of my college classes and only ended up using it a few times. We had a few assignments that required the book and I found the search feature very useful in finding the answers instead of having to read the entire chapter (in which the professor really said it was unnecessary to do so, very laid back). Overall a good book from the little bit I did read and it was for a class I found easy and somewhat interesting.

Good look at the progression of life and the socio-psychological impacts. In fact it should be required reading before parenting a child! This was a textbook for school so I did not choose it freely but I do like it. The format is pretty readable for a textbook. I like the format and the little application notes in the margins help make the material more applicable to me.

Book intact with all the pages able to read. Excellent price! The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, is because the person that owned the book prior to me used a highlighter excessively. Awesome price!
