I previously had the SG Maxx for my Samsung Galaxy S3, and the case did a great job of protecting that phone. When I purchased my Galaxy S4, the SG Maxx case was not yet available. I purchased another case, which provided good protection, but no holster, and no screen protection. Once this case became available, I bought it right away. It fit perfectly, just as its predecessor did, and provides great protection. I haven't dropped this phone yet, but if my history with the Galaxy S3 is any indication, I expect to drop this phone plenty, and I am confident that this case will do a great job of protecting my phone. My only disappointment is that it took them so long to bring this case to market after the phone was released; now I have an extra case that I don't need. Other than that minor quibble, I am very pleased with this case.Several other reviewers have commented on difficulty fitting the case. Keep in mind that there are three (3) pieces which attach to the phone; the screen cover, the soft shell, and then the hard shell. You need to separate the hard and soft shells before attempting assembly. As long as you place the screen cover, then the soft shell, then the hard shell, you shouldn't have a problem. If you don't separate the hard and soft shells, it will be very difficult getting everything on. That said, as long as you follow the directions clearly, it seems to fit like a glove.

Great Item, Im one of the few who still have an S4 and we all know that the thinner the phone, the less damage it can sustain. This just makes it last longer. I have dropped it a few times and because of this item it has never damaged. The rubbers on the edge provide great protection and support. The only issue some may find is that it is bulky and therefore many people may not like to use this. But for the ultimate protection, this is the way to go.

I like my old phone and want to make it last as long as possible. This is the third case I've used on the same phone. This one is far superior to the other two! The rubber is softer and beefier which would definitely absorb more shock. The clip is tougher and better engineered. The biggest advantage is the way you insert the phone into the best clip. No more sliding the rubber down through the plastic belt clip which is difficult to do with one hand. With this case you can stick one side into the clip and push into place, irrespective of which side is down. You can access, and clip, your phone into place with one hand and the phone is better protected. I have a difficult time imagining a way to make this product better. (I didn't much care for the screen protector, but I save it in case I change my mind) I highly recommend this case!!

Boyfriend chose this for his new Samsung Galaxy S4 - He tried it with the clear cover on the screen for a while, but soon took it off, he said it collected too much dust and dirt. Can't review the belt clip, he left that off, said it seemed to bulky. Also, after reading other reviews, didn't want to take a chance of it falling off. Overall, he seems very happy with it. It does seem to enclose the phone very well and give it a lot of protection. I only gave it four stars because of the clear cover and belt clip issues.

I had a Ballistic SG-MAXX case for my Samsung Galaxy 3 phone. It fit very snugly on the phone and protected it well. I dropped that phone several times and I'm sure it would have sustained some damage had it not been for the SG-MAXX case. I just installed this new SG-MAXX on my Samsung Galaxy 4 phone, and I'm very pleased with the fit and the protection on this one, too. I read some of the other reviews where some people were having trouble with a loose fit. That was not the case with mine. The SG-MAXX comes with a separate hard plastic screen protector, which is designed to be installed with the case. Maybe those users opted not to install the screen protector, or didn't assemble the case correctly. That might account for the loose fit. A note about the screen protector - it DOES affect the image on the view screen a little bit. Solid, bright colors tend to have a slight "grainy" look to them. It doesn't bother me. It think the extra protection is worth it. Highly recommended!

Pro: Very good drop protections on the corner. It did protected my phone from accidental drops. Belt clip pretty secure even when I ride my bike on a bumpy road.Con: All ports has plastic cover but they are breaking apart because of the constant pulling it open for charger and headset. The second layer (plastic) is starting to be loose. It wouldn't last time. I guess it's a design flaw. One of the corner has already starting to peel of each time when I remove phone from blet clip. Belp clip can be adjusted 360 but it's very loose. Each time when I clip it on my belt, the phone turns 90 degree counter clockwise.

Pretty good case. The only thing is the left side doesn't seem to want to stay on the phoneWhich causes an issue with pressing the volume buttons. Besides that it's alright.

If you want something you can put in your pocket get the SG softshell. This case is great and will protect from tough use and the buttons are still easy to use. Ballistic products are the only protective case which has easy to protect buttons, as you don't have to press like you have case one. Not many cases offer that in my experience. Nothing bad about this case I still highly recommend it over the Otter Box Defender!

My second ballistic case. First one was for my old phone, when I took out the old one for boxing, it still look brandnew despite a couple of bumps and falls.Naturally, I bought the same brand of hard case for my new phone, and it's still the good quality that I expected.

Far better then the 10 otter boxes i have owned, (armour, defender, commuter,) . Perfect fit, very precise. in a construction environment this case offers lots of protection and the charger and earphone ports are sealed off very well from dust and debris. i would recommend this to any one needing great protection and quality.
