A Wealth of Knowledge About Cancer & How Yoga Facilitates Healing
Tari Prinster's vast knowledge & how it treats cancer is so spot on.Being a cancer survivor herself, she UNDERSTANDS how cancer affects not only the body, but also the mind & spirit. She explains in great detail how cancer invasion, as well as healing begins on the cellular level & how yoga enhances the healing process. The detailed diagrams & descriptions make it easy to design a personal healing routine that's easy to practice on a daily basis.I too am a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with aggressive triple negative breast cancer. After exhaustive research & second opinions, I chose to refuse harsh chemotherapy & a bilateral mastectomy because, at my advanced age, quality of life was of utmost importance to me.I decided to treat my cancer with more gentle, natural & holistic protocols.Along with lifestyle & dietary changes, I also looked for ways to detoxify my body & strengthen my immune system. Practicing Yoga For Cancer has become a godsend for me because yoga not only bolsters the immune system, builds strength & flexibility; it nourishes the spirit & calms the mind. Now I feel more in contol of my life & the journey ahead.Whether you choose to go with allopathic methods, "alernative" protocols or integrative methods (a combination of the two) Yoga For Cancer should be a part of your cancer fighting tool box. I recommend this book anyone coping with cancer because it offers comfort, hope & motivation to help yourself. It's also a great book for caregivers because it provides valuble insight into what cancer patients are experiencing & how you can better assist them.BUY THE BOOK!

I was not disappointed and I to this day am still thrilled with ...
I met Tari several years ago in a snap decision to drive to Massachusetts from Rochester,NY to take her specialized Yoga teacher training for working with those affected by cancer. Being a Yoga teacher and a cancer thriver myself I couldn't wait to see what Tari had to offer. I was not disappointed and I to this day am still thrilled with all that was presented. Tari is a yogini with a sharp, scientific mind. Brilliant and creative in her approach to people and life. How wonderful for all of us that she decided to take the time to share her knowledge and experience by writing this book which is very clear and concise. Being inquisitive she left no stone unturned in this fabulous manual. This book is perfect for all those who are, who have or know someone who has been affected by cancer. I believe Tari's book should be sitting in every cancer center's waiting area, every oncologist's and surgeon's office and every treatment room.Thank you Tari for your time and effort to educate and help others.Karen Armstrong E-RYT, LVCYT

She loved reading this book and really found the discussion of ...
I got this book for my mom after her double mastectomy. She also used her belly fat in reconstruction leaving a large scar across her abdomen and making regular yoga not yet possible. She loved reading this book and really found the discussion of how yoga helps the body heal and the biology portion interesting. She has been using the book to help with stretching and healing and it has made a world of a difference for her. She has brought it to her breast cancer survivors group to share because she loves it so much! Highly recommend

Good, and contains pictures of yoga positions but focuses title is misleading as it is only about breast cancer patients
A good book, but is only for breast cancer patients and survivors of breast cancer.

five stars....highly recommend
I recently bought and read this book right after I had surgery for a tumor in my neck. Reading thru it and seeing the way Tari adapted poses was so very helpful for me as I was trying to heal and recuperate. Her book gave me the positive thinking that I needed to get thru a very difficult time. I was lucky enough to be able to go to one of her classes where the book was able to come to life for me. I would highly recommend this book not only for peole who are living with cancer and surviving cancer but also for those people that have other ailments that may need adaptations to yoga. Thank you Tari. I am very grateful.

I've been waiting for a book like this to come along
As a Yoga for Cancer teacher, I've been waiting for a book like this to come along. It's very well-written and offers clear explanations about what cancer is, how the body's immune system works, and how a yoga practice can support healing and the path back to wellness after a cancer diagnosis. Tari shares her personal experience with cancer in a way that offers understanding and support to those dealing with this illness. She teaches variations to standard asanas that are easy to understand and put into practice. Wonderful illustrations too. This is a great resource for yoga teachers and an excellent guide to newbies as well.

First book I'd recommend with dealing with cancer
This book has been so very important in my recovery from surgery and the chemo currently undergoing. The yoga practices designed have helped me with range of motion, detox, lymphedema, neuropathy and general well being. I have incorporated the practices on a daily basis depending on my needs that day. I owe my positive reactions to treatment in great part to this book. Being relatively young when diagnosed and treated, it is so important to me to maintain my strength and well being and this has been a vital part of my treatment/recovery
