Okuma SNA-602UL-25 Safina Spinning

One of the best values I’ve had recently in fishing gear. This outfit is great for kayaking in streams for smallmouth or back in coves for panfish. Excellent quality.

The reel that comes with this is a very clunky one ball bearing piece of junk. The anti-reverse is slow to respond and it feels clunky just reeling without any resistance. It screams less than a season for even the infrequent fisher. The rod is also a cheap disappointment. The guides are steel with no inserts. There is no cap on the cork end of the handle to minimize wear. There is no hook keeper. So it looks like the rod maker just threw a bunch of defective pieces of junk together to create this miserable disappointment. I am probably going to avoid buying anything else by Okuma after experiencing this junk. I understand lower end quality, but this is a combo I would not even feel good giving away to someone!

Ultra Light Rod.Fast tip.Super sensitive.Feel when trout nibble at your bait. I mean seriously, nibble.This is definitely not your run of the mill, combo setup.I'm running 15# braided with a 6# leader. I can feel, everything my hook passes.This is my first Okuma, and I'm happy with it.I hadn't paid attention to how long the rod was, 6', so it isn't a "cast from under cover" rod, but in the wide open, from a boat or dock it's beyond perfect.Cork grips have become a preference of mine later in life.The reel is smooth, silent for the most part and the bail is quite snappy. Antireverse switch. The rod is very flexible. The first fish I caught with it was a 12-14 inch smallmouth. The fight was almost epic. Very fun to fight a good sized fish on ultralight gear.I shamefully admit, I haven't really tested the drag, I haven't hooked a fish that could make it squeal. But I really like the setup. I think you will too.Downsides:Stainless steel guide rings. No inserts.For me that's it. The rod is great, no flashy bells and whistles, but to keep the price point low, quality went into what mattered.

The product is awesome only problem is usps said it was in the mailbox. It's a six foot rod. The second one delivered with ups showed up a day early

The rod and reel I received yesterday was missing the crank from the reel.

Great rod for the price. Feels like you'd pay around $50-$60 for a similar quality rod in store.

I ordered two. Only one was complete. Amazon replaced both. Neither of these are complete.Complete waste of time and effort.My eye for quality starts when I open a box. Missing 3/4 ofa fishing pole waves red flags. Cheap, ineffective, disorganized and worthless is my review. NO STARS!!!

The rod is junk. It looked like the rod melted on the tip had some droop to it. Went to straighten it out and it broke off like it crystallized.
