Since shortly after it was first published, this book ...
Since shortly after it was first published, this book has served me well. It covered the most commonly used aspects of the application framework clearly enough to set me in the right direction. There were a couple minor editing flaws, but this book is concise and goes beyond the documentation. The author is actively engaged in writing articles, cheat sheets and tutorials. There are also a lot of additional helpful resources available for free at his GitHub repository.

Great zero to hero book on express.js Up to date with express v-4
Just started reading the book and really like it so far, I will update when I get done with it.I must say, I am not disappointed with this book at all. It delivers great tutorials and will get you up to speedwith the latest version on Express.js v4.xOne, if not the best books I've had the pleasure of reading. I promise you won't bedisappointed with this book.I have read the book in it's entirety and still recommend the book, it could have gone into more detail but if you are familiar with the Node/Express paradigm, then you will be better off than someone approaching it for the first time.

Good Content, Disappointing Presentation
This is a fairly approachable book that does a good job of covering the basics. Programming books frequently fall into two categories: those that dwell too much on the minutiae, and those that gloss over details that are useful. This tends toward the latter. There also seems to be a language/editing issue. Sentences like "Ping, in turn, when it’s done, calls pong with that finished response with res.end()" slipped through, and occur every dozen pages or so.Also, on the Kindle app, the code is horribly formatted. This is the greatest failing, and makes long code sections effectively illegible. Shorter code samples can be puzzled out but require more effort than they should. At this price point, despite the enormity of the topic, I expect a better finished product. That being said, it still contains valuable information, it's just a chore to get it from the page to one's brain.

Nothing Pro, and little to help you master Express JS.
Nothing Pro, and little to help master Express. By Master, I understand the knowledge and experience to use every aspect of it. Farr form this....This is a very basic explanation of Express, with dumb samples, and mostly, full of empty or useless printscreens, like a full printscreen of a complete safari window with only Hello world, or printscreens of meaningless messages resulting form running npm commands.....Poor content. Difficult english. Halfway through it was so frustrating that I just threw it out the window of my hotel room into the woods....Shame on you APress!!!!!!

Very useful, very readable
A powerhouse of a book.Very useful, very readable, full of accurate information from an author who really knows about Express.js . Azat is clearly a brilliant programmer who know how to write on a complex subject. Recommended!

Zero to Pro quickly
The book is largely a review of fundamental express.js knowledge, express modules, with many short examples to illustrate how the modules work, followed by a number of full application based examples that really drive home the knowledge provided earlier in the book. It's a great way from zero to pro quickly

Code isnt correct or up to date
I'm not sure if its dated api or just erroneous code. Author has some parts that have parameters swapped and without double checking the api online one may find themselves pulling some hair out cursing the stack traces and trying to justify your code by the contents of the book. Non the less it helped me see what was out there and gave me the information I needed to expand on express even if it was on my own accord. Wouldn't recommended for anyone already working with express.
