Worked perfectly!

This product is an exact replacement for my craftsman mower. The weak point on this product is the star shape that holds the blade in place. That's why I had to order this replacement. If you hit something hard with the blade it shears off. When I removed the old one, I didn't pay attention to the key. I just assumed it would be a standard separate key inserted in a slot in the pulley. I was not looking forward to extracting it from the old pulley and installing it with this replacement part. Fortunately, the key is part of the pulley casting! This made the removal and replacement a snap! Three screws, one blade bolt and 15 minutes and my mower was operational again!

I have had this mower for 2 seasons and when I have taken the blade off to sharpen, the 5 ‘ears’ on the star come off. The first time I took it off it had been factory installed. The motor, a Honda works great. It’s the retro fitting by the company making the mower body that is flawed.

Fits and works perfectly

I like many people here, I bought this replacement only to have the star bit stripped off in the first minute of use. After I did a little investigating, I noticed the metal front deflector under my deck got bent and caused the blade to hit it. It didn't seem like much, certainly not enough to break a blade adapter but once I tweaked that back to normal with some channel locks, I haven't had a problem since.

Worked perfectly on my Poulan mower. This part is designed to be sacrificial, so if you hit something hard enough - it will break before damaging the engine. You MUST torque the blade and this part to 45 to 50 ft lbs for it to perform properly. I've mowed a 1/2 acre lot 3 times since replacing this part and so far - no problems !

Very difficult to get onto the shaft. Seems the machining is a tough off. The metal is fairly soft so doesn't take a hammer very well. Broke the star spindles off

Acheté ici pour un montage par un pro. Adaptation nickel. Seulement pensez à changer la vis de serrage de l'axe/lame, car ma vis à cassé peu de temps après. Extraction du reste de la vis dans l'axe compliqué....

Exactly what was needed to fix our lawnmower

It's an exact replacement for my Craftsman lawn mower. This fits the self propelled model. Solid quality made product. I recommend it but I wish I don't have to buy it again in the future.

Did not last one cut. Too soft of metal.
