The Music Library: Revised and Expanded Edition Hardcover – Illustrated, 4 April 2016

A terrific guide to a parallel musical universe where the Beatles and Radiohead count for nothing but Alan Hawkshaw and Roger Roger are superstars. You have very little chance of actually acquiring any of the albums pictured - they vary between incredibly rare and impossibly rare - but it's good to know that they're out there and if you're lucky at a record fair or car-boot sale who knows.....Like everything that emerges from the Trunk Empire, it is of superb quality both editorially and in the manufacture. If you have an interest in Library then you need this book.

superb book which will make you spend lots of money you don't have; some great appreciations from messrs Trunk, Dammers et al ... incredibly well researched ... mine came with a 10'' of banging KPM and Selected Sounds tunes ...

You will not find Ed Sherrin or the Beatles here, this is obscure stuff. I don't think I have ever seen a copy of any of the albums here, ever. These are the records that are probably tucked away on the wall of record shops you will never visit and all priced at £500 or more and people will nod sagely that they know and understand etc the music. However, luckily it is a great resource and music can be tracked down and listened to via other sources nowadays and some of it is plain weird but inventive and fun and odd. This is truly a wonderful book, really glad I bought it
