Magnum Grind to Fit Recoil Pad with Sorbothane, Black, Screw-On Backing for Shotgun or Rifle, Butt Stock Pads Shooting Accessories

This is the fourth KickEez pad I’ve mounted. I decided to add the magnum pad to my .308 Ruger American Rifle with a compact stock. Gives me better recoil control and adds an inch to length of pull. To mount to this synthetic stock, you need to use the original butt plate. Cut the original rubber pad away from the nylon plate, glue it to the Magnum pad and mount it using the supplied screws. The pad overlaps about 3/32 on the stock. I also added a neoprene comb adjustment sleeve that pulls onto the stock and over the pad sides. No bring necessary. I have ground several pads but left them intact on my Trap and Field over under shotguns to maximize the recoil impulse reduction. It looks fine.The magnum pad works. I can now shoot as many rounds as I want and the extra LOP helps with the scope clearance. I was done shooting this lightweight rifle after 10 to 12 rounds with the stock pad.Like I said, my fourth pad. I have the modified trap pad on my trap gun and standard pad on my two field guns.

Bought his for a rem 270 , greatly helps with recoil, makes the recoil very easily manageable

I replaced the old pad I got like 20 years ago with this one. My shotgun kicks but this pad really took the punch out of it.Easy to install. I just traced the old one on using it as a template. Took it over to my 6 inch stationary belt sander and took it down to the line. Screwed in the two screws and that was it. It’s like shooting a new gun. It added a bit of length but I have long arms do it was actually a bonus!Really recommend this gun pad!!

This turned out exactly as I hoped. It installed very well, and I am nothing like an experienced amateur gunsmith.I needed to get another inch of length for my daughter's rifle for her elk hunt, and this did the trick.A note to the inexperienced, and orbital sander does not work like a belt sander. A belt sander will bring this down really nicely, Informant perfectly to the stock. There are some good YouTube videos for Pat installation, and I used the masking tape method of not damaging the stock.However if you put an orbital sander on this, the elasticity and the rubber can move around at about the rate the sanding pad moves around and does absolutely nothing. You can basically sand this thing for 15 days and it will not change at all with a palm orbital sander. You have to use a belt sander.Blessings

Replaced the Limbsaver recoil pad on my 300 Weatherby mag. Was tired of getting slammed. This pad is firm but manages the hard kick. Recoil from the 300 is very tolerable now.

Does what it's supposed to do. Firm enough to prevent excessive compression with heavier loads. ground easily on a belt sander.

These are the best pads ever. used one for years on 12ga trapgun shooting hundreds of rounds a day. really help tame my .338 lapua also
