Neck Traction (RED)

This is not my first neck traction purchase. I've bought additional ones to replace those I gave to people who had a similar problem. I had a herniated disk that was pinching a nerve that sent pain down my entire right arm. It was so severe there were days I could not use my arm. The first doctor put me on pain pills and sent me to physical therapy. The pain pills didn't work on nerve pain. The therapy helped. I had 3 steroid spinal injections. The pain always returned. It seemed that cold fronts from the north caused a change in barometric pressure that increased the pain. My physical therapist and a new doctor confirmed this.I went to a neurosurgeon with my MRI. He suggested I try traction before resorting to surgery. He told me to use a traction device for 45 minutes minimum every night for 3 months. He also gave me a muscle relaxant to take 15 minutes before I started. After 2 months I had no pain. A very strong cold front was coming in and everyone looked at me like I was a human barometer. No pain. I continued traction for another month and I have remained pain free. That was 2013.I have given 2 away. One did not work because the person had degenerative issues. The second one has helped my friend tremendously after only a month. She has the same C7 injury I had. I always replace them because I never want to be without one.I highly recommend this type of traction if your doctor suggests traction. You're still mobile and can move about your home freely. A great product.

Good product. My husband has a pinched nerve. He has been in severe pain from his neck,shoulder, arm..for a month. He went to the neurologist and he recommended getting one of these to ease the pain that stems from his neck. It has eased his discomfort. Keep in mind my husband was in SEVERE pain so it is going to take more than this to help it go away, meds, time, PT. But it has helped. Affordable and easy to use. We've only had it a week. So I can't say how durable it is. I will update my review if there are any issues with it.

I have bulging disc in my neck that seem to flare up when I am on my computer too long. This product worked wonders for me. Easy to use right out of the box. You can actually feel it stretching your neck and feels very relaxing.I wear it for about 5-10 minutes at a time. If I am in a lot of pain, I will wear several times during the day.Please check with your doctor first, mine had told me that traction devices would help with my situation.I would recommend this product

I give 3 stars just because I think the advertisement is misleading the product: this is not a traction device! This advice is for a neck alignment and positioning, avoiding motions that cause pain. It does not do a traction like rehab machine, that pull your neck releasing the vertebrae.

Just a quiestion? The rubber parts they disintegrated. Is this normal?

I purchased this after reading the reviews for the stenosis, arthritis and bone spurs in my neck. It came within a few days, and I used it immediately. After the second use, the inflator bulb tore where it attaches to the hoes barb. I contacted blueburg trough an email, and within an hour or so, I was contacted by the Director of the Company. He apologized for the problem and said that he would send out a replacement bulb in a few days. To my surprise, there was a package waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday. Not only did I get a new bulb, but a completely new collar package. I can't remember the last time I received customer service like this.I've only used the collar for a few days, and it does seem to help. When I visit the Spine Center in a few days for the first time, I am going to show this to my Doctor for her opinion and to let her know that it works for me. If you are thinking of trying this, I say, "go for it." I have an inversion table where you hang upside down from your feet, and this is so much more convenient. Can't say enough good about this device, but especially the company in general...

I don't like giving this 4 stars because the product is exactly as described and functions exactly how it was engineered to operate. I should be giving a 5 star review, except that my neck is still debilitating everyday functions. I think I expected too much from the product but it did help some. I think I just wanted a miracle, yet instead, I only received a perfectly operational product

I did not buy this for pain relief. I wear it for pain prevention. If you havevto lean forward a lot - it helps support the weight of your neck - therefore - less strain on your neck muscles - less pain or no pain to deal with. The only problem I had is - i.m not sure where you are supposed to put the tube and bulb - if you just let it hang straight down your neck?
