DEWALT DW2069 1-Inch Pozi-Drive Bit Tip Set, 3-Piece

Even here in big Los Angeles, not Lowes, not Osh, not Home Depot nor two local neighborhood hardware stores had a true Pozi-drive bit. You would think they might since they all carry Blum hinges which use the damn things. Well, my sailboat the winches use pozi-drive screws and the phillips screwdrivers I had weren't grabbing well enough to pull the screws without buggering the head. Amazon Prime saved the day--good brand, cheap and I love the little holder which keeps them together in the tool bag. They also worked perfectly.

I've come to depend on DeWalt screwdriver bits in any configuration for being well-made of good materials. These Pozi-Drive bits do not disappoint. They were extremely useful for assembling some popular utility cabinets I bought recently that had been imported from Canada. The cabinet manufacturer's instructions said to use Phillips bits, but the screws were clearly marked as Pozi-Drive. Using the correct bits made the assembly that much easier, since Pozi-Drive bits do not cam out of the screw head as easily as Phillips bits. In sum, these bits are recommended for their intended purpose.

Ikea uses pozidriv screws, which is why people have issues screwing their stuff together. It's hard to find pz screwdrivers in the US, let alone bits like these.The middle sized one was perfect for setting up furniture with my screw gun. I'm happy I got them.

These are a lifesaver! I bought some motion activated lights which were a great deal, no wonder why-the battery cases were impossible to get off! I tried every driver bit and screwdriver in the house-dozens--and all I was doing is stripping the screws. Someone wrote a review on the lights about needing pozi. I wanted the bits immediately so I went to Home Depot and the guys there acted like I was nuts. Silly little lady, where's your husband was the attitude. By then we had 3 guys gathered around, all swearing there was no such thing and I must be mistaken. So I literally pulled up the Amazon website on my iPhone to show them the picture of the package. And with 2 clicks, i ordered them right in front of their puzzled noses. Ha! Thanks, Amazon!

The bits are quality ones, I just wish you could buy them individually. I used the #2 bit to build an entire kitchen worth of Ikea kitchen cabinets and it worked perfectly in my impact driver.

I use these bits every day working on ATMs. They are definitely more durable than your average driver bit. I am only on my second set in seven years.

I bought these to remove some screws on cabinet hardware. If you look closely there will be what looks like a Phillips head screw with 4 dash marks alongside the four slots.I learned something new and found out these are Pozidriv (or PZ) screws. I think a Phillips would work but these have a more positive engagement due to some indentations in the screw head. Apparently Phillips screwdrivers are meant to pull out of the head of the screw if a lot of torque is applied so damage can occur to these special screws in some circumstances.Anyway, these are a nice, inexpensive addition to my tool box when working on these fasteners.

I was having a tough time assembling door/door hinges on IKEA BESTA line of furniture that I had bought. It was literally a workout using a regular Philips head screwdriver, with the ever possibility of striping out the screw heads. After researching online, I came to know about the Pozi drive screws. Ordered this set online and subsequent assembly of the same furniture (using the #2) became a breeze. I wish IKEA would put a note in their manual saying a Pozi drive screwdriver is recommended.
