Great, strong & sturdy for curly medium thickness Afro American hair. But did not send correct colors. If they had, I'd have given 5 stars.

What I like is that it does not look cheaply, I wore it the day I received it and because I have medium thick hair, I did struggle to lock it. I went out for a jog and it stayed in place. I did not liked that I felt it a little stiff (I don't know if this is good or bad), but because of that I felt I struggle to lock the clip.

FINALLY!!! A clip that doesn’t fall out or slide ! I think one thing that helps is the matte aspect. The texture seems to add to the no- slide feature that I found false in other clips’ descriptions. The added, curved teeth, grab the hair and hold without pulling and it feels absolutely secure! My Asian hair is kind of coarse, and there’s not a bit of curl so everything slides. I tried the Pony-O which was interesting, but took too much manipulation and made it tough if you have arthritic fingers...and it still would slide...better than most of the clips though. This matte clip takes a smidge of practice to learn to avoid those curved teeth hanging up on your hair while positioning it. The fact I also find helpful is that it opens wide so you can fit the pony inside before you twist the clasp together to close it. It stays in place until you want it out. It took time and trying all manners of accessories to find this clip and having a short, spikey haircut for the last 30+ years, I felt clumsy attempting any of them. THIS ONE DOES THE JOB!!!

I was hoping this Banana hair clip would hold my hair securely in place but that was not so. I could not even get the clip to remain close for 1 minute as it kept popping open. I have thick hair but, not extra ordinarily so as I have used smaller Banana clips that have stayed in place. I thought this fairly larger clip would be amazing which was wrong. I attempted to adjust my hair several ways, turning the clip different directions but it just does not work. I think it is a product defect as the bend on the closure is not deep enough to remain close. Of course, it is not eligible for return so I am stuck with a defective product :-(

I wear my hair up for work and has been using ponytail holders. Though they are effective they break my hair off. My hair grows at the root pretty fast but doesn't grow in length due to the breakage. I was looking for an alternative when I came across this banana clip. It showed up today and I was not disappointed. Not only does that hold my hair in place I can tell that breakage isn't going to be an issue anymore. This thing is a lifesaver and maybe now I can grow my hair out longer than what it is.I do have to say if you have really thick hair this probably isn't the clip for you. I have fine hair but a lot of it. It holds really well in this clip and I can't imagine trying to shove more hair into it.

I was in search of a nice, elegant, but plain (no ornaments, crystals, etc) banana clip for a long time with no luck. Then I heard from a friend about this brand and I looked it up here on Amazon. I saw this clip, and it seemed like everything I've been looking for. When it arrived (super fast), I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. It is made of sturdy plastic (as oppose to all the clips I saw in stores, that looked very cheap). It keeps my hair together all day. And what I also like about this clip is its size. It's just right, not too big and not too small. Would definitely recommend!

I was sooooo close to being able to get all my hair in this clip. It just needed to be a tiny bit wider! Otherwise it appeared that it would hold hair in place very well. Bummer!
