I use these for kung fu. They are the best shoes I've had for that, however I am also disappointed in the quality. I thought Adidas shoes would hold up longer. I have 2 pairs (went for a slightly smaller size after getting my first pair and now have 1 for class, 1 for practice) and both pairs have had to be glued back together after just a few months of use. I would love it if Adidas made the exact same shoe, but better quality on the sole. These shoes are for martial arts, y'all! They're gonna take a beating. Live up to your name and make them last. That said, they fit like little shoe gloves (if you're in between sizes, go smaller, the leather will give and they will begin to mold to your feet), are amazingly comfortable and I love them. I do also wish they came in more color options. Our school uniform calls for all black shoes and so I had to dye the stripes black to comply. Otherwise a good shoe and I recommend.

I can't address any of the negative reviews but can say I like these shoes. I have owned the Pinetree brand of martial arts shoes but like these better. I ordered my regular shoe size and they fit right out of the box. They are snug, which helps when doing tai chi and workout classes at the Y. There is more arch support than I thought there would be even though the bottom of the show is flat. I am happy with this purchase and will but again when needed

Loved the look of these shoes but first day I wore them, the rubber sole started to come off the left shoe. Next day, the right sole started falling off. Then the sole started coming off at the heel... I've re-glued those three spots and they seem to be holding for now.I naturally wear a size 9.5, but these are very tight compared to other martial arts shoes I've had before.I've been using these for less than a year and the heal is totally falling apart. Do not buy!

These are top notch Adida brand shoes. Very smooth and great on the mat.

They are not as good as I thought they would be. I suggest getting them a full size smaller if you like the "like a glove" fit. Personally, I prefer the kind of fit where there is no space for your feet to move around for any explosive type of sport or any sport that requires quick shifting and movements both laterally and forwards and backwards movement. The way these shoes are designed leaves a lot of room for improvement as far as the lacing system goes. If it were up to me, I wish these shoes were made to fit like a glove, the way certain wrestling shoes are made. I just felt too much play in the toe box. I have a 9.5 and wished that I had gotten a size 9. I listened to the reviews stating that they were too small, instead of going with my instinct of going with my gut. I could see someone feeling like this shoe being to small "width" wise, but I think they fit as they should length wise. Normally, I wear size 10-10.5 for normal everyday shoes, but since I like most of my athletic shoes real tight, size 9 would've been perfect for me. I like getting athletic shoes real tight so that I do not get any slippage and I can burst out in any direction any time I please. I will say a glove-like is a preference, but for me it has proven time and again the right type of fight for the types of sports that I compete and participate in.
