Absolutely phenomenal product, it came in it’s box properly packaged, it’s lightweight and works perfectly for my Xbox One. Whether you’re buying this to increase storage on a gaming console or store data for traveling, I would highly recommend this product.It’s slim and small enough to fit in my small compartments of my backpack. The ONLY problem I have with this product, and it’s minute enough to not warrant a 4-star, is that while it’s advertised as 2 TB of storage, in reality it’s only 1.8 TB of storage. I don't quite understand the specifics of why it has 200 GB less than advertised, but I can imagine during the converting/formatting of the product during manufacturing has caused it to no longer “see” where the 200 GB has gone.I’m sure I could use their tech support to have fixed this issue, however, I've committed it and converted it to the Xbox One’s game storage and do not feel that tech support would be able to fix this issue without suggesting I format the SSD and lose about 1.2 TB of games.

As my very first SSD (solid-state drive) I purchased this drive to achieve a faster boot-up sequence, and I was not disappointed! At a steady speed of about 30 MB/Second, my computer starts up almost as fast as an electric car. This drive is tiny, lightweight, silent, and cool-running. It carries its own self-storing USB cable which cannot be detached from the unit, so it cannot be lost or left at home. At 500GB, there's plenty of space for a system drive, and as a side-benefit, an SSD is practically shock-proof. My next one will be 2TB, but those are a bit pricey compared to a standard spinning hard drive.

This performs on par with nicer thumb drives. 35 MB/s write, but seems to drop to 5 MB/s periodically. Given these speeds there’s not a lot of difference between this and a nice thumb drive. Don’t expect it to feel like an internal SSD. I bought it to hold my games that don’t fit on my PC and it does decent at that. Read speeds are high enough that. For that purpose, it does OK.

The title sums it up perfectly. You can fit it into just about any pocket you have! Transfer speeds are great and it's never failed me in the few months I've owned it thus far. I can't comment on the service as it has always functioned flawlessly and I've never had to contact them. For the speed size and efficientcy its perfect for the money. Downfall is it's a little small but I mean that's in the description 500g for a great price.

I have been using my portable WD ssd for over 4 years. No issues at all. No heat issues like some other portable ssd drives. So far so very good. I'm very happy. The cable is very short; so you may need to get a usb hub if you're taking with you to work or at other venues. I bought a second one as I am very happy with this product. If you want a longer cable, then look at a Samsung portable ssd.

I bought this because my cloud account was being disabled and I needed a reliable place to store my data (1.5TB worth of data). Love the SSD because there is no disk (I have lost data due to discs malfunctioning in the past). Now I'm not afraid of traveling with a hard drive anymore because this guy keeps all my worries away. Lightweight and the cord folds right into so I don't have to worry about that being damaged. Great tool for anyone looking for a place to back up data/photos and needs to travel quite often. Durable & reliable.
