I have purchased these on several occasions over a number of years and have noticed that in the last eighteen months they are not as durable. What I am finding is that the hard shell cracks easily through the 'joint' after not very much use. This appears to have begun to be a problem since those bought in 2015 onwards (several pairs).I like this product for the comfortable fit but am disappointed in the recent quality now being produced. I'm guessing that either the material composition has been changed or the thickness of the shell has been reduced.Previously I would have given this product 4/5 stars, but.....This is my 'one more try' purchase for old times sake, will update review on use to advise of any changes found.Update to above comment:Finally get round to an update which I should’ve done a month or so ago… modern life.New pair received mid November 16 and worn for no more than twenty hours in total on twelve separate occasions in what would be classed as light domestic use.Cracks first appear at either side of the joint at the outer edges which very quickly splits in a hoop configuration up over the knee to meet the other side. (Around 9th use / 15 hrs) Each recently purchased pair has performed in the same way.Sorry Impacto, really like your product (bought quite a number over the years) but the last three/four pairs just don’t measure up. (Thought it was perhaps a batch problem but evidently not)Message to the company (Hopefully someone will read this)Come on Impacto, you have a really good product here – just get that hard shell sorted. (In past times the elastic straps gave up the ghost long before the shell gave way)

Bought my original pair many years ago and, at that time, was very satisfied. They literally lasted years with occasional heavy duty outdoor use. These new ones, however, are hopeless. I used then once outside and they cracked across the bendable section. Looks like a case of taking a good product, changing the specs and trying to get away with selling a grossly inferior product. The only part which seemed to retain its 'quality' was the fairly strong foam used as the liner. This is good at cushioning the knees.

Very comfy & I like the two Velcro straps but the outer covering cracked after wearing for a few days.Amazon replaced them but the same thing happened again.

Sono stato attirato dal loro design, e in quanto a funzionalità devo dire che non mi hanno deluso. Sono comode e con i lacci elastici a strappo si indossano velocemente.P.S.ho notato che il prezzo è lievitato parecchio ultimamente, il 12 giugno 2016 le ho pagate 21,65 €, ma il venditore era Amazon EU.
