Comfortable! Stay on during water exercise!
These can be laced up tight and they stay on during rigorous water exercise, unlike the aqua socks I was using. They also have more support and cushion than socks. I don't think they would be supportive enough for me for hiking, but in all fairness I haven't tried them for that. I use them for circuit training in an indoor pool. They're great for that, so I'm giving 5 stars for my purposes.

For those who don't like 'barefoot' style water shoes
I needed a new pair of water shoes to use at my gym (for the sauna/steam room/jacuzzi) and at the local hot springs pool because my old ones were worn out.I have flat feet with neuropathy, and little to no fat pads on the bottom,so I can't stand or walk for long periods, and needed something with a soul akin to a regular shoe that could go in the water.I initially tried on 'barefoot' style swim shoes, because that's all I could find in the big box stores, but the souls just felt too thin and uncomfortable to me.I glanced over these Ryka water shoes at first because of the price but after reading some of the reviews on Amazon I decided to take a chance and buy a pair.I normally wear a size 8 1/2 shoe with orthotics, but I opted for size 8 in the water shoes and they fit perfectly. The souls are nice and thick but still flexible, although they're smooth and not very textured (no nubs on the bottom) which isn't problem for me,but if you want and/or need more grip in your water shoes these might not work. The upper part of the shoe is made of a nice lightweight breathable material that dries fairly quickly and doesn't hold in odors. The shoelaces feel nice and durable, and have stood up to me tightening them with no problems, although they are a bit long even when using the drawstring clamp to 'tie' them,so I solve that by making a bow with the excess, the clamp,by the way,can be taken off completely if you want to use the laces normally, which is a nice touch. These are a great pair of water shoes, sure they're expensive for what they are,but if,like me,you have issues with your feet or you just want something supportive with a thicker soul, they're definitely worth the price.

Great shoe for water exercise
This shoe is great for water aerobics, exercise, walking etc. as it provides great support and is very comfortable. I have tried other less expensive shoes and have been very disappointed due to their fit and comfort. I'm in the pool at least 3 days a week and these shoes last a long time, much longer than my swim suits. Highly recommend. Our instructors also wear and recommend them.

Great for water aerobics, true to size
I got these shoes for my water aerobics classes and I love them. After reading the split reviews on the fit, I decided to order my regular shoe size (a size 9) and although they seemed a TINY bit loose, they fit perfectly once I tightened the laces. Had I gotten a 1/2 smaller I know they would have been too small. So, I'm voting for "true to size". The traction is great, no slipping at all. It's just like I'm on land in a well cushioned sneaker. I have a foot condition that affects one of the bones in my toe and these are so well made that my foot doesn't hurt at all jumping around in the water. I feel I've been able to more fully participate in all the jumps, kicks and jogging in the water since buying these. The flimsy pairs you get that just slip on don't even compare. They're nice and roomy in the toe box, which I like, and fit great around the ankle. As for the laces, these have the lock laces where you can tighten and unloosen them with a fastener. There is quite a bit of lace left over after I tighten them and if I don't double knot what's left behind, they do come untied in the water. Even still, it doesn't affect the fit of the shoe, it's just annoying having the laces float around in the water. Double knotting keeps them tied for me.The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because these hold on to a lot of water. If I don't take them off right when I get out of the pool and wring them out, I'm left with an excess of water tracking all over the place. I forgot to wring them out once and left them in my laundry room only to find the entire floor covered in water later on. Also, even with the insole removed, they take a good 24 hours to dry, unless I put them outside on a sunny day.All things considered, these are awesome sneakers for my needs and I highly recommend them for anyone doing water aerobics!

Great for aquatic exercise
I run and jump to workout in my swim spa. Many exercises were hurting my feet …I could feel plantar fasciitis starting and was avoiding certain exercises to save my feet. Then I found actual water shoes with arch support!!! I am thrilled. These are virtually weightless!! Perfect!

The best, even fits narrow feet, worth the price!
I have owned 3 pairs of swim shoes for my aquatic exercise class.1. a cheap pair purchased from Amazon, comfortable, but the rubber-like sole separated from the upper shoe in about 2 months2. A pair from LLBean. Withstood chlorinated water well, but were uncomfortable, very hard and I couldn’t get the tongue to lie straight. They laced up directly over the seam on the side of the tongue.3. Ryka - I will never be with a pair of Ryka swim shoes. So comfortable yet supportive. Have been told by a couple of people in class that they will last a long time.I wear 8AA in New Balance (880s), but size 8 in Ryka was way to long, had to size down to a Ryka 7M. Because of the lace closure, I can get them tight enough to stay on my narrow feet without discomfort. Still have toe wiggle room.

Fits perfectly to size. Did not need to size up for wide, plenty of room.
Keeps my feet from slipping in the pool! Great for pool walking, exercising and water aerobics!.

Game changer
These were recommended by our aquafit instructor and she was so right. The added support I get allows me to add strength and stamina to my workout. I will never buy the slippers again.

Buenos, pero no para senderismo
Los zapatos llegaron rápido, la medida tal cual sugieren en la tabla de tallas, los zapatos están bonitos, solo que para senderismo no los recomendaría, se sienten las piedras del camino y les falta agarre.

True to size and very comfortable and cushy.
I bought them for Aquafit because I have plantar fasciitis and I needed something supportive and cushioning. The shoes provide both. I read some reviews that said they were slippery in the pool and around the pool area. My opinion is that it must depend on the material the pool centers use. They are not slippery in the pool or surrounding area in my center. However they are treacherous in the change room. The change room is tiled and they are slippery on that. But, I also have a pair of walking sort of hiking boots that are slippery on the tiles too especially because it is wet. I would recommend just rubbing them over the floor in the change room and various flooring to see if your pool center is okay. I just wear a non slip slip on in the change room and change at the pool. You do need to double tie the laces but I have to do that with most of my footwear anyway. They have never come undone in the pool. They do dry out quickly.Very happy with them.

Great water sneakers
My first pair lasted for 4 years using them 3 times a week at water fitness class. These sneakers fit great and are very comfortable for jumping around in water fitness class.
