Ashoka Green Chilli Pickle in Olive Oil 300 g (Pack of 6)

OK, so I'd never heard of Ashoka either. But don't be put off - this pickle is very hot, very pungent and very tasty. It easily stands up to other brands you might know from the supermarket aisles. Definitely recommend to the chilli fiend!

Excellent pickle! We all need more Olive oil and chilli in our diet [and garlic, not included in this product!]

Love this pickle...so good with so many things. But the box of 6 arrived with one having leaked. Looked like a small dent to the lid broke the seal allowing oil to leak everywhere (smelled nice though:-). Chucked than one but still have five jars of loveliness to get through.

This pickle is pleasantly hot, without being too fiery. The texture is pleasant, and it makes a nice accompaniment to poppadoms and Indian breads. Also makes a nice, tangy addition to cold meats and cheese. Far better than Ashoka Red Chilli Pickle. Available from Amazon at a price which represents good value. Thoroughly recommended. Now about to try Ashoka Garlic Pickle.

Very good. Unfortunately out of stock at time of writing this. Bought red chilli pickle and garlic pickle instead.

I have tried many pickles over the years and often paid over the odds for fancy labels in supermarkets and 'up-market' stores.Now in my 70's I have come to my senses. My lack of mobility now prevents easy visits to shops and a product like this, delivered to my door for less than half the price of most is now the way to go. This pickle has a sharp tang without being too hot; and apart from enhancing the Friday night curry, finds its way into cheese sandwiches and other snacks and meals during the week.For me it is a very acceptable product at a low cost.

I don't know if you can eat too much of this; but I probably do. Tasty. Habit-forming... becomes essential with most meals!
