Carbon Fiber Grain Headlight Switch Cover Trim for Ford F 150 Mustang 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020

I purchased pretty much every piece they sell for my truck in the carbon fiber and it looks great but going into this mod I knew the 2-sided tape just wasn't going to work. The parts fit for the most part but there are some minor but important fitment challenges. Some parts are slightly warped, too large or too small. Anything other than perfect is going to immediately test that 2-sided tape, which will lose when trying to adhere to plastics and rubber. Even after cleaning multiple times, trying to use 2-sided tape isn't going to stand the test of time, vibration and varying temps, especially on parts such as door handles and steering wheels. I removed the tape, used black RTV and JB Weld, along with small clamps and clothes line pins and allowed parts to set up for 24 hours.

The product is visually pleasing with a nice carbon fiber design. I would have liked it to be brighter with more light grey in it but it’s not too dull either.My main issue is the confirmation that this product is too snug and makes the headlight knob very difficult to turn. It does make me worry about long term usage of the knob after installing this trim. The obvious mitigation is to leave the lights on auto. I tried using a tiny flathead screwdriver to wiggle some space but that didn’t help. I turned the knob a bunch then removed the product to see if the knob felt any different; it felt normal. For now I have the product on and try to keep the knob on auto. I do wish the product didn’t impact the knob functionality.

Regardless of heat, blow driers, heat guns, etc. The adhesive put on all the products is horrible. Do yourself a favor and go by a roll of 3M double sided tape (same stuff, a bit darker but thicker and stickier than the stuff that comes on it. I have put on close to 20 different pieces on my truck and had adhesive issues every time. Looks good when you get it right.

Does not fit correctly, had to trim it after installation. It worked and looked good but it hinders the light knob from loving as freely. Looks great and with a little trimming works great too. I have most of the carbon kit in my F150 and it looks great. Avoid the shifter plate cover tho. Suck

It came in a box that was to small for the item. It was slightly bowed when I got it. Then ti wouldn't fit correctly and kept falling off even after I replied the tape.

It broke putting it on. Bummer.

Didn’t stay on at all
