It is lovely, beautifully illustrated, and true to most historic depictions of Virginia prior to 1861. With that in mind, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the map was NOT in English. Everything is in German, besides the names of towns and cities maintaining their English spellings. I do not have a problem with this as the similarities between English and German are anything but complicated. Besides, most mainstream Americans dislike reading anything and prefer to look pictures instead.My guess for why it is in German is probably due to the fact that German cartographers may have pieced together this map using primary sources found in their own libraries and developing the map in their own language into the product being sold by the seller.Overall, it is a wonderful addition to my collection of historic maps of colonial America and I look forward to seeing what other maps are constructed in the future.

This is a great piece for drawing the eye and starting conversations. It has a nice clean look. The only primary issue I have is the relatively low resolution, but overall not terrible. Just not worth a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. The 4 out of 5 stars is well earned though as the print material itself is of good quality, and the map is readable if you get nice and close. It is in another language. Perfect gift for a fan of this state or American history

This is a great looking poster. It hangs on my wall right above the South Carolina poster. They make a great set.
