This tool is perfect for making pompano rigs. Once you have the dropper loops in the leader line, you can drill out the floats with one end of the tool then thread a hook, bead, and float on the other end which can be used to pull the dropper loop through all three at once. Both the drill bit and the threading loop are very thin (to be able to pull a loop through a bead opening!) so I wouldn't be surprised if I break and need to replace it, at some point, which I wouldn't hesitate doing. So far, I've been careful and everything has held up great!

Decent price and a handle tool. Works great for corn, bollies, etc...

A drill bit to enlarge holes in foam floats coupled with a super slender hook to thread leader through beads, floats and hooks sounds like a great idea. Implementation is a complete failure, however. There is no collet holding either the drill bit or hook - they are just pushed into a hole in their respective “bit holder”. The drill bit spins within its holder at the slightest friction. The hook pulls free of its holder at the slightest tug. Utterly useless for tying rigs. If you need a mini hand drill with a proper and secure collet, you’ll want a Tamiya pin vise/drill like modelers use. It will also snugly hold the hook from this abysmal kit, but the hook itself isn’t worth this purchase.
