Wouldn’t use this.
I received my dash cam and it started off good. I was able to set it up easily. However, after a few days of using, the suction cup fell a lot meaning my camera fell off my window. The camera also isn’t tightened enough so anytime I turn or drive on a bumpy road, it moves and shakes a lot. However that isn’t even the worst part. I almost got hit so I went to get the footage off my camera and it only records 1 minute sections then doesn’t record for 10 minutes. Looking at the footage, I have random 30sec-1min clips of me driving. The video footage just stops randomly recording then decides to record again. The camera isn’t turning off as I see it is constantly on. Nice to know that if that car did hit me, the camera wouldn’t have picked it up. Now I have to go buy another dash cam and hope it works.

Crisp picture
The only thing I dislike about this is how small the screen is. Other than that it’s perfect, it works well in the dark

It works, but needs improvements
I bought one of these outside of Amazon. Installation isn't too hard, but you do need to run the back camera cable all the way from the front to the back. So you have to figure out how to hide it so it doesn't look ugly. The video quality is good, even at night. The suction cup mount for the camera on the windshield, like all suction cup mounts I have ever had, will fall off the glass after a while. You just have to stick it on again. The doubls sticky tape for the rear camera has never failed, to my surprise. When you twist the mount to the locking position, it's supposed to lock the camera in place to stop it from moving. It worked for a little while, but now it doesn't lock it from moving, so it doesn't stay in perfect position where you want it. Not a real big issue, just a minor inconvenience. I think the camera has an internal battery to retain your settings, but mine will only keep the settings for a few minutes at most, so after I shut the car off, the settings get lost. Again, not a huge issue except the time and date are never right. It always goes back to Jan 1 2017. Makes it somewhat difficult if you are trying to find a particular video that was recorded. It doesn't have motion detection record, so as soon as you start the car, it starts recording. The biggest issue I have is when you turn the car off, you have to remember to manually stop the recording, or the file gets corrupted and can't be played. I wondered for a while why I could never catch a recording of me turning into my neighborhood, and pulling into my driveway. Also, there would always be some videos that would not play, then I discoved it was becauase the camera would turn off when I turned the key off. If it was recording a file when that happened, it would corrupt the file. It should be designed to autosave when the power is shut down, but then again that may be becauase the internal battery is shot. So overall, it's an OK camera as long as you can deal with the minor annoyances, and remember to manually stop the recording before you shut your car down.
