Batesmen's Lites High Gloss Oxford

These Bates shoes are certainly not the most comfortable shoe but the style is required as a uniform item...Plastic uppers ... not much can be done to make them more comfortable. If you have to wear them- these will do. The narrow width was especially nice and fit my long skinny foot better than wearing multiple pairs of socks. Can't address wear and tear, construction etc... as I have only had them for a few days. The narrow was much better than the normal width and cheaper too! Thanks for that. Super shiney...Would be nice if they had a bit better sole with more support and cushion. These are basic but they meet requirements.

Comfortable fit as expected.

These are as good as I remember when I was in the service. However, they are narrow. When I bought them and tried them on I thought they would be fine. However, the first time I really spent a few hours in them they really started hurting my feet. If you get these the right size, you will be satisfied.

My husband frequently rents a tux on a cruise ship for formal nights. But he wears a size 13 W shoe & often that size although promised is not available. A M width is often substituted. So he was not interested in paying a fortune for formal shoes & began looking on Amazon. Found these shoes & they fit the bill!. He was a state trooper & these were similar to the shoes they wore for dress . They are sooooo light that we don't mind packing them for a cruise. He will never have to worry about poorly fitting or no formal shoes when he rents a tux again.

My Dress Blues are now up to date for my pending funeral. I have terminal Cancer and will be wearing them while guarding the streets of Heaven!

Wear these everyday to work and classes. They have maintained sole integrity, sine quality, and solid stitching. After a year of walking in these everywhere, everyday, there is a small crack in the finish at a flex point near the ball of my foot--nothing a little careful superglue application can't patch up for months more of use. Take it from a military man: these are good shoes. Prompt deliver too.

Use them for daily work in law enforcement. They are very comfortable and attractive
