Enhancing your Marriage (Following God) Paperback – October 1, 2005

I just completed an in-person Study of this book with a group of women of ALL ages for two semesters (aprox 8 mo). INCREDIBLE! Most Thorough and EXCELLENT study on Marriage!I have been married 10 years and am a mature Christian.In this study environment, I grew in my understanding and relationship with the Lord in regards to the covenant marriage, my desire to be more like Jesus and really be a friend (and of course lover :) ) to my husband! I'm so excited about the things I learned from this study and those things God revealed in my heart! My husband is excited too! As a result of the excellent and relevant scriptures, insight and experience presented in this book, my marriage is transforming daily into the covenant relationship that God's word describes. I've tasted a touch of heaven on earth in my marriage!! Praise God! Thank you Judy Rossi for writing this book!Additionally, I had the privilege of fellowship with my sisters in Christ! What a joy! So many different beautiful experiences that we could touch each other's hearts through prayer unified in Christ! We are not perfect BUT GOD knows what we need and the timing. I highly recommend this study with a group of women or with someone who has been through it.May God bless you in your marriage journey with Christ and your husband!!

Enhancing Your Marriage is an excellent resource from pre-engagement until “death do you part.” I first took this Bible study 18 years ago, and have cycled through it several times since then with different groups of women. It’s life-changing!I have now been married for 28 years, and I’m getting ready to co-teach this study at my church. My “kids” are in their 20’s and I’m looking forward to this refresher of God’s plan for a great marriage. The truths of God are timeless — I highly recommend this in-depth study about His deep love for YOU, and His desire for your marriage to be a beautiful reflection of His love.There is also a free leader’s guide available for download so it’s very easy to do this with some friends/family/neighbors. Do it! You (and your hubby) will be grateful that you did!

I am thankful beyond measure for Judy Rossi and her work in Enhancing Your Marriage. The book was recommended to me by a friend and she baited me by sharing some of what the Lord was doing in her own marriage thru the book. I took the bait and am grateful, grateful, grateful. I think my husband is rejoicing as well. Judy is very transparent and shares much from her own life which is always something I appreciate and need. I see so much of the wisdom of God in her writing and found this to be especially so in the way she has laid out the text. I bought the book for several friends and find myself wanting to call them and say, "Go to chapter 7 and look at this nugget." Then I am reminded by the Lord that the work is carefully laid out and that the reader might not be ready with a teachable heart for chapter 7 if they haven't gone thru the other chapters first. I have asked my husband to read my efforts after I complete a chapter and this has really ministered and enhanced our marriage immensely. The Lord has given me much in the way of grace to seek Him for a transformed life thru this text and renewing my mind that I might see my marriage from His perspective. I could write a book myself on all the ways that the Lord has blessed me and my marriage thru Enhancing Your Marriage and I am grateful to the Lord for Judy Rossi beyond expression!

I am about 1/2 way through this study and enjoying every minute of it! It really has me thinking about the changes I need to make in myself in order to have a stronger marriage. I like the scripture that is being studied as well as the focus on God and what his purpose of marriage is. If you are able to be totally honest with yourself as you work through the study, you will definitely see opportunities for change and growth. We can't just read and forget about it. We need to read and apply those things we learn to our marriages in order to improve and set the right example for younger generations. Very easy reading. A nice amount of scripture to keep you focused on God. Would love to do this study with a small group.

This study is life changing and marriage uplifting. Our Bible study group did the 12-week layout, and you'll need to plan on 20-40 min. per day 5 days a week. My marriage was already pretty great, but this has opened my eyes in so many areas. My husband and I will be celebrating our 16 anniversary in a couple of weeks, and I feel like a giddy newlywed planning our special time. At the same time, my relationship with God has taken on a new level of intimacy. With two busy kids and working full-time, I thought this would be difficult to keep up with, but it has just made me thirst for more of God's Word. My teenage son and 7-yr-old daughter have both commented on the change in me and on the change in my and my husband's relationship.

She is very loose with her words and uses words like guilt and conviction interchangeably which I personally don’t agree with. She also is very ignorant in her chapter about sex when she addresses sexual assault victims as though healing is a simple choice that once you decide you love God enough you will stop having issues with sex. I went through this book with a group and had many issues almost weekly with things she would say and ways she incorrectly quoted or interpreted scripture long before my frustrations with the sex chapter. I don’t recommend this study. If you want a better marriage read pretty much any book by Gary Thomas it will be more beneficial.

I chose this study because it is a 5 day a week study that kept the student in the Word.I can say, I am only half way through this study with my cousins wife *meeting for coffee for discussion ever Monday. and it has without question deeply challenged and greatly stretched the limits of Our faith.Wayne Barber and Judy Rossi have orchestrated a tapestry of Gods amazing truths about our marriage walk together in Christ.I Would suggest to a actively seeking non believer as a form of support in coming to faith .
