Metra 70-1725 Amplifier Integration Harness for 2002 Acura RSX

Like the other reviewers said, this harness made the installation easy.Unfortunately, this was not my first wiring harness. I got the "straight" wire (no RCA plug) at first, when I hooked it up to the Pioneer CD player. it took along time figuring out which wire goes where. Back then, I did not realize that my 2006 RSX Type S, w/Bose has two amplifiers, one for the four speakers output, and the other for the SUB. Hooking it directly to the stereo's speaker output created a somewhat irritating white noise; noticeable when muted (power on, volume 0). That setup did give me a powerful sound; it was loud even just at 23 out of 62 volume setting. My main issue was the white noise.I have also tried it without the Bose amp. I had to rig the "Bose amp plug" so I can use the existing speaker wires. It worked, with just the Pioneer stereo, but the sound was a little "bright and hollowed" I reconsidered and decided to live with the white noise and use the Bose amp to get the more powerful sound.When I saw this harness few days ago, I wanted to try it; hoping to improve my audio quality, or at least, minimize the clutter of wires in the back of the stereo.Well, it definitely decreased the wiring clutter. With the 8 speaker wires turned into two fat wires, I only have to connect the other 4 wires complete the job.The sound is less powerful - now, I have to turn it up to 45 to get to (unbearable) loud (out of 62 max). However, the sound did get cleaner. When muted, there is blissful silence, with no white noise, or any noise. I can tweak the treble on the equalizer a little higher and deeper bass to get more sound.I am happy with the purchase since I like the Bose amps. I am a little disappointed to bypass the Pioneer stereo 50 watt / 22 RMS per channel internal amp. Well, at the end, this is the best sound setup out of the ones I tried.I also replaced all the speakers with Kenwood 3-way, kept the original tweeters and the sub. The Kenwood sounds much better than Bose speakers, highs, lows and great detail. Bose speakers are good for those listeners that prefers "warmth" over "detail."

Worked good for a DdX57S Kenwood Double Din install in a 2005 Acura RSX Type S, with Factory BOSE system. Use the RCA Style plugs for the 4 door Speakers. The Factory BOSE works fine still and the whole install brought the car sound system back to life.The only issue I encountered is I found a couple of the pins in the harness were not fully seated and pushed in all the way. This could easily cause issues. So I suggest looking over the harness closely and taking a pair of small non marring pliers and gently pulling outwards each contact tab in the connector to verify they are fully seated in the connector itself. I actually heard the short one picture click into place. A couple others where slightly loose.

Update: I was able to still use this harness. It arrives with one of the plugs slightly bent sideways, and after bending it back it corrected all issues. As to why it was in the different packaging, it might have been used. It ended up working okay for the time that I used it.Original review:It arrived in a USPS envelope that it was loose in. No Metra bag, or part number, or paperwork saying that it was a Metra product. The connector is also white, not blue like the factory Honda connectors (Metra uses factory connectors, google it). I thought I'd try it, I really wanted to put my new radio in this weekend. I connected all the RCA's and necessary wires in my 2002 RSX Type S (factory Bose system) and there was no noise coming out of the driver side front speakers. I did some quick switching reconnecting and discovered it was the white RCA. I tested it by grounding out all the RCA's to see if they got feedback, and they all did except the white one. This is your average knock off that has low quality control standards. Other reviews convinced me to buy from here, at this price, and my review is here to say that it's a throw of the dice whether the product you get works, or it lets you down either during the install or later in the day.

Perfect for my RSX Type S with Bose. You need the RCA outs for compatibility with the stock or aftermarket amp.

this is the harness you need to utilize the stock bose sound system in the RSX type-S. It integrates the stock amp and sub. Just match the colors and corresponding RCAs with the proper L/R with F/R outputs on you aftermarket head unit.

This was a lifesaver! The OG harness on my aftermarket system was causing some static noise. Tried cleaning up the connections but the static remained. Installed this one and it was crisp sounding again! Highly recommended!

Got the job done. If you need help installing the wires just read the back of package, very easy install.
