Toilet Hinges-Replacement
These hinges work perfectly and we are glad we do not need to replace the entire toilet seat simply because one of the hinges broke.

Cheap flimsy plastic that requires some trickery to fit
For some reason, these are the only replacement hinges I can find both online and in stores. This must be some sick joke by the PRC to frustrate Americans, as these look like they'll fit but they will barely not out of the box. There are no instructions, so set aside a few hours as you will not get the pieces right the first time. To make them fit proper and tighten fully, you will need to drill one or more new holes and might require an impact driver. (the one you use with a hammer, not a power tool)Assemble all the hinge pieces that attach to the seat and lid first, then attach the whole thing to the toilet itself last. The pieces that screw on to the toilet will need to go on backwards compared to your old hardware, otherwise the seat/lid will not stay up or fit the toilet correctly.I managed to make it work only drilling one hole in the seat but it is a huge pain getting the screws fully tightened, hence the need for an impact driver. Maybe a nice electric screwdriver might work but you're likely to strip a screw unless you've got a flat workbench and vice.If you're a renter and not handy with tools save your time and just ask your landlord to take care of this for you, it's a frustrating gross job even with the right tools and the skills to use them.

The replacement fittings FIT.
I was unsure that the parts would be the correct size. Fortunately theparts fit fine and now all is well.

Will not fit larger diameter rod as replacement parts.
I bought these as parts to replace an existing mount, but the rod is smaller, so the hinge opening isn't large enough to fit the rod from my existing parts. It is necessary to replace the entire old assembly with the new one. My screws on the seat were rusted through, so I can't unscrew them. I had hoped to avoid drilling them out by replacing only the broken mount, but this product isn't compatible. In fairness to the product, it may work just fine once it's installed. My low rating is because of lack of compatibility, not performance, although the thinner rod may imply that these hinges are less durable than my old ones.

Basic generic part but not universal
4 stars for being generic and needing extra work.Works ok but be prepared to do a lot of repositioning and drilling because they probably won't match the original hinge spacing.Definitely not for cheap plastic toilet seats some of which have the hinges molded in.Luckily this was used on a white pressed wood seat (aka particle board) so there was some wiggle room to reposition the hinges by drilling new holes for the screws so the bolts lined up with the holes in the bowl. Before you order these make sure your old seat is made of a material that is thick enough to drill for the screws .Hint: since instructions aren't that good, assume they won't exactly line up,Remove the old hinges, measure the distance between the old hinge screws and find the center on ring and lid of seat and use tape and a marker to mark the middle point of the distance between the hinge screws and the bolt holes. Mark the tape not the seat,Assemble the hinges and loosely bolt in place then place the ring part of seat over the hinges to locate where you need to drill the new holes after lining up the center marks. If the holes line up you can put everything together. If not then; When you're sure everything is evenly lined up , drill the new holes part way into seat , assemble and screw in hinges and bolt down to bowl.

Worked great to replace a set of hinges that were color matched to the toilet and seat set.
We have a very high quality Kohler light blue toilet which had a matching seat set. When the 1980 hinge failed, I looked around for a hinge that would fit the application and that I could paint to match. Long story short, I did have to pilot a couple new holes. but the hinges are sturdy and work fine and they held the spray paint without any flaking or peeling. Works so well I gave the seat a fresh coat to match the new hinges!

You get what you pay for....
...as the old saying goes. Price is right. Delivery is fast. Install is simple enough. Plastic is soft. Hinge breaks when someone sits on the closed toilet seat cover. Oh, well.

Don't Buy it!
I bought this to use in my large shop turned storage building. It doesn't get used much. The hinge was hard to install because the mounting holes are different from original. The screws provided are too long, and protruded too far which damaged the seat. Now I'll have to get shorter screws. The seat is ruined, but still usable for my application, however it had been for home used, I would have to buy a whole new seat with hinges. Don't buy this!

easy to install - universal match for newer toilets
all these can break from abusive force as the material is plastic vs the old days of bronze. the fit/size is standard for toilets. There are variations in toilet seats, but, again these are a standard size/fit for newer toilet seats. check if they visually look the same before ordering. Easy installation - screwdriver and larger pliers ((channel locks)

Pésima calidad. Dos semanas después de instalarlas se rompió una bisagra

design flaw
There is a design flaw in the mold which cause the unit to easily break upon tightening...just hand tight. And the cheap brittle plastic doesn't help. Buyers would be best to find another product.

Lasted less than 2 months
We had the same experience as several other reviewers... but alas these were the only replacement hinges that would somewhat fit our toilet seat.To summarize:- lacked proper instructions- needed to drill more new holes to make these fit properly- once assembled and attached to the seat these only lasted 7 weeks before they became damaged and unusable.
