Dr. Scholl's Shoes Women's Really Ballet Flat

Just got these and I LOVE them! They are very well constructed, and comfy. The color (I purchased whiskey) is beautiful and true to the photos. They fit exactly as they should as well. If you have wide, or wide-ish feet buy the wides. This is a structured shoe.As other reviewers have states, they come very stiff out of the box. HOWEVER if you take a handful of minutes to twist, fold and hand stretch them to break them in, they are immediately comfortable. It took me 10 to 15ish minutes to break them in by hand before slipping them on to wear them.They are pretty in person, perfect ballet flats to dress up or go casual.

I work as a hostess for a nice restaurant in town. Becuase it is a smaller restaurant I help out with serving, bartending, and clean up as well. My job involves a lot of walking and running around (usually about 8,000 - 11,000 steps on a Fitbit in one shift) These shoes have been really comfortable for me. I have a bad back and standing for long periods of time can be difficult, but these shoes have made it a bit easier. I won't lie, they haven't "fixed" my problem (I probably need some sort of orthotic), but they have been the best shoes I have worn so far. They have not exhausted my feet or made me feel like I have been walking on concrete and parts of the restaurant are stone floors! The price is fantastic as well! They look so elegant and they do not slip off my feet. I have had troubles in the past with flats slipping off my heel, but these shoes let me focus on my job and not on keeping them on my feet.I give them four stars because, like with any shoe, they take a bit of time to break in. I wear those small stocking like "flats socks" and they helped prevent blisters, but they still rubbed a little when I first got them. After about the third or fourth 7-hour shift at work they fit perfectly. The only other complaint I have is that they are a little slippery. When I am in the back of the restaurant (fetching clean dishes from the dishwasher for example), it tends to get slippery. These shoes do have some grip, but they do not prevent the occasional skid where there is water on the floor.These shoes would be a PERFECT fit for an office, or for a nice day out and about. I have recommended them to all my friends and for the most part, they work wonders at my current job, but I would not recommend them for environments with slipping hazards!

I wear a size 9.5 usually and I read the reviews and bought a half size down and I'm really glad that i did. They are actually a tiny bit loose even with a 9. they are very cute shoes though and do go with pretty much anything. I will say that even though I haven't had them for very long and the fur (yes its calf fur and not just leather) is already starting to wear off in spots (along with the black color). I was also disappointed with the lack of arch support. The description says that it has memory foam soles or something but ya...I don't think so. They took a few wears to stop my heels from getting irritated but they are pretty comfortable now. Definitely not the type of flats you would walk around all day in but I can wear them at work at my desk all day with no problem.

When I order flats, I generally size up 1/2 size. These shoes run 1/2 size large. I should have heeded the advise of the other reviews but I didn't. So I ordered them in several colors in an 8 1/2. I had to send them all back and order an 8 (which is what I would wear in any other shoe). These shoes are amazingly comfortable and stylish. I am not, as a rule, a flat shoe person. I wear 3 1/2" heals for nearly everything. But sometimes, I just want to wear a casual leisure shoe and I can't stand to wear tennis shoes. So I have bought a number of different brands of flats. I have even bought a couple of pair of Rothy's and Rothy type Sketchers. Hands down, these are much more comfortable!

I'm very disappointed. I ordered these shoes as I already own a pair, and know how comfortable they are. I re-ordered these shoes online before in the past, as well. They are my go-to flats for work. However, when these shoes arrived, the fit was different. The ones I own have a flowery lining on the inside bottom and gray around the sides, as is shown in the pictures on the website. However, the ones that were sent came all gray on the inside. The back heel came up higher, which hurt, and also the top of the toe box was slightly longer which also hurt the top of my toe joint. I sent the first pair back and reordered, explaining to an Amazon rep on the phone my dilemma. She agreed that they do show on the website a flowery lining and would send me the "correct" pair. Well, the exact same pair came with the all gray lining. So, they most likely have been redesigned, or maybe it's where they are made, not sure, but they hurt my feet and both went back. It's a shame because they were the only pair, so far, that I could find that actually fit my narrow heel and were so comfortable. Amazon was great with the returns and reorders, but this shoe is just not the same as it used to be, so back to the drawing board to finding a shoe that is comfortable. This is one problem with ordering online. You think you are ordering the same thing, but it's not in this case. If they fit as before I would highly recommend them.

These shoes (like most) had a 'breaking in' period. They rubbed my heels raw the first could of days I wore them, but eventually softened up and felt good. As soon as things were looking up, that's when they took a turn. It wasn't long before they began to make my feet smell! Truth be told, I don't really have smelly feet, and I have lots of flats and this is never an issue.These shoes in particular made my feet sweat and then smell. I was so embarrassed. If I kicked my shoes off under my desk it was only a matter of seconds before I seriously regretted that decision and had to put my feet back into the smelly shoes to keep it contained. I would not recommend these to a friend.
