Collin Street Bakery fruitcake is a taste of my childhood. My point in sharing this with you, is from my first bite in the 1960’s, until this one, the quality, and taste are the same.This is the fruit cake for folks that aren’t crazy about fruit cake.Fresh, fruity, and delicious.Not the brick ‘o fruit cake we’re used to.Sorry Claxton.These babies are pricey compared to the grocery store versions, but the dollar value for dollar spent is excellent.

Anaphylactic reaction to this fruit cake
I was so looking forward to this fruit cake and then I had a piece and I had an anaphylactic reaction! That’s the most serious reaction you can have to a food or drug and it’s one I’ve only had with medication’s. It was so bad I thought we would have to go to the hospital. I have no idea what was in this fruitcake that would cause me to react this way. I also had severe stomach and intestinal cramping. Because Collin’s bakery has a guaranteed return policy no matter what reason, my husband called Amazon and we were able to get a full refund. I’m very thankful to this bakery that we could at least get our money back! This reaction to the fruitcake scared me so much and I hope I never have to go through this again. By the way, I really didn’t like the taste of this fruit cake, I’m sad to say that because I know they put a lot of love into what they do.

Always a treat
My husband had never had fruitcake and I ordered this for his birthday because I had them all of my childhood from this bakery. It still tastes the same and he really enjoyed it.

Great with brandy
This cake tastes great with a high quality brandy poured on top. Otherwise, it was just ok.And I love fruitcake. I always have.

Wonderful tasting fruitcake. My daughter requested for her Christmas gift.
Since this fruitcake was a gift for my daughter. I only tasted a tiny bit, but it was wonderful. She had to freeze the rest of it so she could have a little bit any time she wanted.
