AMBS-1000C- 2 hour Fireproof Office and Document safe

This is an incredible safe. I was very apprehensive in buying a safe since once it gets here, you are stuck with your choice. I searched the internet for months trying to decide. I ordered a Depository safe first, thinking I would like it but it came in a thin cardboard box that disintegrated as it slid around the truck during delivery. Be sure to ask for it to be shipped on a pallet. The AMSWS 1000C was shipped with the upmost care. In a box, on a pallet, and strapped down. The safe itself is NO disappointment. Out of all of them I saw, I really like the security that this one offers. It has Five pins that lock the safe (three on the side and one each on top and bottom) along with three permanent pins that are on the door on the hinged side. When the door is locked shut, you have eight pins all around the whole door keeping it sealed. I feel if you cut off the hinges, you would not be any closer to getting into the safe then if you didn't. The keys and combination lock work smooth and without any issue. The insides offer plenty of storage. There is also a drawer on the top inside. Its kind of cheap(the drawer) I wish they would have spent an extra couple dollars to make it more sturdy. It locks and can hold a fare amount items. Its about 3-4 inches deep. I am glad I finally found this safe. I doesn't hold rifles but can hold many other things. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Its great.

I just love it. The size is perfect for what I need. I don't have any long guns so all my handguns, other than the ones I carry, fit into a backpack that I can grab and go. I was using what they call the manager key wrong and thought I locked myself out when changing the factory keypad combo. Wayne in customer service was outstanding, he figured out what I was doing wrong and helped my with my problem. This is a well made safe. As mentioned I bought the keypad option. I just thought if I needed to grab and go I could get into it faster. Great inside space for the valuables and guns. Thank you Steelwater. Couldn't be any happier.

The carrier would not allow me to inspect the safe without first signing the delivery receipt. READ THE DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS:INSPECT THE SAFE thoroughly before signing the delivery receipt. Once the delivery receipt is signed free and clear a damage claim cannot be filed.

Great safe. Relatively easy to move with an appropriate dolly youcan rent for 10 bucks per day from U-Haul.

Well built with plenty of room..very heavy so moving will require help. Delivery was on time very friendly driver helped get safe in my front door..will be a steelwater customer for life..my dad also bought one after seeing mi e and the guns are
