**Q: Are these rescue yaks? What is the explaination why these yaks been on the pasture for one year?**
A: It means that they are eating grass all year long, not for a few months and then being fed hay, which for dairy is typically alfalfa which is known for GMOs. Has nothing to do with rescue.

**Q: Does this product contains casein? Some ghee products say they don't contain casein.**
A: The label says "100% lactose and casein free."

**Q: Are the yaks fed 100% on pasture and grasses? Are they ever fed grains or other feed?**
A: Based on the description of the product, it sounds like they are guaranteeing that the yanks have only been fed grass for at least 1 year prior to milk being harvested and the ghee being made.  As to prior to that, I am uncertain.

A: No, probably not. Yak are a Himalayan animal largely centered around the Tibetan Plateau. Water buffalo are common in the Indian subcontinent where it is used a diary animal.
