These silicon baking mats are incredible! I am not an expert cook, but I do cook a lot. I came across these La Belle Chalet Silicon Baking Mats quite by accident. I read the reviews which were overwhelmingly positive. That made me decide to give them a try. I have used them three times now. The mats fit neatly inside my 17 x 11 inch cookie sheets. Instead of placing the cookie dough on the sheet, you simply place the dough onto the mat. Then into the oven just like before. Bring 'em out like normal and cool them. Then you will be genuinely surprised at just how easily you can remove the cookies from the mat with a spatula. Cleaning is simple. Put your pan away, because it never got anything on it. The silicon mat is easily cleaned in the sink. I think that is one of the best things about the mat. It's totally flexible, so you don't have to fight it like a big pan. Air dry or towel - your choice. In the end, it's certainly not absolutely necessary to have a silicon mat to bake on, but I think it makes the chore easier all around. I baked some lace cookies last night. They turned out wonderful and the cleanup was a snap. I say splurge a little and get a couple of these mats. You won't be disappointed.

Not for your glass top.They caught fire a little bit on me, whoops. Not quite as heat tolerant as I hoped.
