Review: Great T1, Gold 80+ PSU - First of all, this is an amazing deal for a PSU which is rated tier one, has an 80+ gold rating, is modular, cranks out 750W, and uses all-Japanese caps. Secondly, I have to say I really like the look of this unit. Setting up all the modular cords you need can be somewhat of a pain, but it's definitely worth not having to have extra cables just laying around the case, or alternatively cutting off cables you might have a use for in the future. I've had no problems with this PSU. It runs quiet and cool. I haven't used the hybrid mode just because fan noise doesn't bother me that much, my computer isn't on all that much, and I'd rather keep the system cool to reduce wear and tear rather than letting it get a little warmer and keep the fan off. This definitely has enough hookups to run everything you'll need. 750 is probably overkill (and 1000 definitely is unless you're running something insane), but I like having the overhead, and for this price why not?!
Review: Fantastic PSU, especially for the price! - When I first was looking at power supplies I really wanted a fully modular one. This one caught my eye from day one and I eventually narrowed it down to the EVGA Supernova and this one (XFX XTR). I want to make this very clear, I do NOT own the Supernova and cannot compare the two back to back. Both are probably great psu's. However, this one is a fantastic one! Here is a pro/con list: Pro: - Fully Modular - Lots of excess cables (more than the Supernova) - Looks great, great shade of gray, very attractive finish, all metal shell. Fan is very quiet. - Fantastic packaging, foam insulated and a nice box. - Wires are high quality. Though only the MB connector is braided, the others are thicker than most other psu cables I have seen. But there aren't so big that routing them becomes a problem. - All the hardware is included along with a useful manual (unlike most manuals) - 80 plus gold! Cons: - Smelled funny when I first opened it up, this is common with psu's - There was a clear sticker on the top protecting the XFX symbol that was hard to peel off. Just a picky little thing, nothing major. If you are on the fence about this one, get it! In my voltage tests I found that it rarely fluctuates and when it does, it isn't as major high/low voltage. Very high quality components. If you like the look of this one, buy it now. If you think the supernova looks better I still think you should get this one because it is so user friendly and I think the looks will surprise you when you actually have it in person. Fantastic! Hope this instills more confidence in your buying decision.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What are the dimensions of this PSU in MM. Better Yet, Does it fit on Cooler Master Elite 110?**
A: 6.25 inches or 158.75 mm front to back. 5.5 inches or 139.7 mm side to side. 3.5 inches or 88.9 mm in height. Don't know if it will fit in the cooler master case.

**Q: im considering buying this to replace generic PSU i have. how long are the cables??**
A: I have an ATX Full Tower case for my gaming rig, and all of the cables included reach fine. I had a little trouble with the GPU power cables, but with a little cable-management it reaches perfectly. Overall this is an excellent, quiet and efficient power supply. 5 months now and no issues, plus it has a 5-year warranty.

**Q: is this a good alternative to the corsair hx750 if i am buying an intel® core™ i7-6700k , msi atx ddr4 motherboardz170a and gigabytegeforcegtx980ti?**
A: Hello:The power supply you are considering is rated as a Tier 1 Power supply - The definition of a Tier 1 is:"The highest quality and most stable Power Supply Units available. Protected by industrial grade protection circuitry and can output wattage at a rated maximum temperature of 50°C or below. These units are also Haswell certified, meaning they can cope with the C6 and C7 sleep states of 0.05Amps without triggering the under-current protection switch. May even go over labelled wattage and still work until it safely shuts down"So, it is a safe bet that this XFX power supply will be a great power supply for your new rig.

**Q: Can this psu power two xeon cpus? thanks**
A: It depends on the total power drawn by your PC. I suggest you use one of the online PSU calculators where you can enter all of the peripherals in your PC to work out the PSU size required. I advise against buying the XFX Pro 850W since I had two fail in two years due to a faulty +5V standby circuit which I think is probably a design fault. I'm now using an EVGA 850W PSU which has a 10 year warranty. This would be a better buy than the fault prone XFX PSU.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good PSU- Power Up a xfx hd 7950 correctly and now I have lower power consumption
*by A***N on October 6, 2013*

I bought this PSU to power up a XFX HD7950 after a coolermaster RS 700 Watts failed to do the homework. I liked that is modular, the compatibility with the card and that is more power efficient too. I am paying now like 10 to 15 Kwh less of energy per month.I dont know if someone else have seen the same while using this PSU. Until now the only issue I have is when I suspend my computer. After that the system doesnt power up well. Seems to be a voltage trouble with my motherboard (ASrock 880ghx) Apart from that fully recommend it! its a very stable PSU
