The top itself is slightly grooved to imitate wood grain but it is fairly smooth.The rest of the table is metal and appears to be powder coated black finish giving a matt finish. Only took a few minutes to construct and has left me with a super table that is a bit of a talking point due to its unusual shape and design. i LOVE IT.Also comes with glider feet so moves easily across carpet and hard flooring.
