Review: Probably the best Binocular in this price range. - I was in need for decent binocular for my Yellowstone, Grand Teton vacation. Price range was $50 to 75. After lot of research (specs, types, deals etc.) I purchased Aculon A211 10 X 42. This binocular is probably the best in the class for the price. Few observations after using it on 10 days vacation. - Great for general purpose binocular, light weight, sturdy build, decent size to carry in hand or using with neck strap. - Awesome clarity, crisp images and true colors, good light, quick focusing, - Couple issues - 10X is great if you have steady hands to hold the binocular. My wife complained about shakiness since she had trouble holding it steady. Front cap keeps falling off the strap. I wish they had close loop. As other reviews said, it fogs sometime, especially in cold weather. No big deal for me. desertcart price keep changing. It dropped by $8 a day after I purchased it.

**Q: What is the difference between the 8x42 or 10x42**
A: The first number; that is the 8 or the 10 refers to the magnification value. So, with a 10x42 you can bring things closer than with an 8x42. The 42 refers to the aperture or the size of the opening in the front element. The larger the aperture, the more light and things appear brighter. Choosing really depends on what you're using the binocular for and in what kind of light.

**Q: I know nothing about binoculars. Am looking for small,l lightweight to watch granddaughter at indoor gymnastics meets. They move all around.**
A: these binoculars magnify things 10x greater than your normal vision. For an indoor gymnastics event I would look at something in the 3x - 8x magnification the 42 refers to the field of view. This might be okay for a gym depending on where you are sitting and size of the gym.

**Q: Is there a screw port on the bottom to attach a tripod?**
A: Just bought this from Dicks, you have to remove the rear nikon cap to reveal the screwport, there is then an adapter that must be used to attach to tripod.  Read in the fine prints that the 10 x 50 comes with the adapter not the 10 x 42

**Q: Is this binocualars appropriate for watching birds and wildlife in Alaska?**
A: These are perhaps more appropriate for wildlife viewing than astronomy.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing hunting binoculars great in low light, but shipping could have been better

These are amazing binoculars especially for the price. Nikon makes a quality product and these are no exception. I was looking for some for hunting and these are great. They work amazingly well in low light and have crystal clear picture. My only knock on these is they have a tendency to fog up on the outside of the lense but km not even sure if there's any way to avoid that. I would have liked to see more careful packaging as it was shipped just in an Amazon bag in the nikon box. For something that is a bit fragile I would have preferred a nox with padding, but they didn't come damaged so thats a plus. Over all if you're looking for hunting binoculars that aren't going to break the bank then definitely get these you won't regret it.
