**Q: Is the clip on restraining strap quick release, for easy use in emergency in car**
A: Yes. It's a simple quick release lever. I bought it to mount a fire extinguisher horizontally in my van and specifically wanted a quick release lock. Works perfectly.

**Q: How far apart are the screw holes?  I'm looking to replace an existing broken plastic one**
A: Mark, I returned this as it was missing the strap or catch.  It was bent too!  Terrible customer service.. had to pay return postage. 
In hindsight I would have bought new self contained or go to shop!

**Q: What's the height and width of this. I'm looking for a holder to fit small caravan fire extinguisher**
