**Q: Description says After 1 minute hand cranking you will get 60 minutes with all 3 LED's - is it so?**
A: I have not tried hand cranking for only 1 minute.  I hand cranked as i walk to the chicken house on my farm and then left it on while i worked in there for at least 45 minutes. The light did Great! I love this thing because i feel that no matter what EMP hits this country, i can at least crank my way to having light..... :)) i have 2 of these.  I will buy more as they are very well built.  I hope this helps.

**Q: for my bug out bag like that its waterproof and doesnt need batteries but is it bright enough to hike through the woods at night?**
A: Very bright at the high setting. But you will need to recharge in about 35 minutes

**Q: Which is better, this or the Hybrid Solar Powered Flashlight?**
A: This the only such flashlight I have any experience with. I did notice that cranking charges the flashlight very little, so most of charge must come from solar. And , when charged, it produces good light. But it is nice to have crank as back up. So, I would say solar...

**Q: Is this capable of charging a cell phone (or similar) via a USB cable?**
A: There is a similar thinner flashlight that recharges cellphone with a cable- made by a different company. This one is just a flashlight.
