I could contort my arms to reach my entire back. Those days are gone though, and so I can't get the middle of my back like I used to. This brush is pretty neat, and I have started using it for my legs and feet too. The soft side has tons of bristles to get a good lather, and the back side has larger and stiffer bristles that make you feel like you're getting a good scrub in.Using both makes for a clean feeling, but it's the same as a loofah.
