Review: The PERFECT EDC Knife (until the Delica 5 arrives some day) - If you don't want to waste time reading, JUST BUY IT NOW, you won't regret it! I purchased the gray handled Delica 4 because frankly it was the cheapest handle color at the time I was looking. I do like how the gray color is a little more low-profile than the green or orange handles though. My new Delica 4 has replaced the Para 3 and several other more expensive knives in my EDC rotation.... the Delica 4 is the only knife I've carried for the last couple months. I take it everywhere, literally... even around the house. It is perfect... light weight, durable, tough, easy to open/close one handed and the VG10 blade steel is pretty solid from what I've seen so far (and it arrived pretty sharp). This thing is so light that I often forget I have it on me - it easily fits into all jeans pockets and I enjoy carrying mine in my watch pocket on the right side of my jeans. Mesh shorts or a pocket t-shirt are also great for carrying this - it really is the ideal size and perfect weight. The grip/handle easily fills my hand (I have medium-large hands) but the blade is not so big that people freak out if you have to take it out to use it, like perhaps with the much larger Endura. My wife even borrowed it to carry and she said she likes it a lot more than her SOG Aegis tanto, which is also very light weight. So, I went ahead and ordered her the purple handled Delica 4 as an early Christmas gift and she loves it! If you're on the fence about this Delica 4, I suggest you go ahead and try it. You won't be disappointed! And if you are disappointed, buy through desertcart and they'll let you return it within 30 days (their customer service is great like that). I've been searching for the perfect EDC knife for years now, but the search is finally over now that I found my gray Delica 4. Only problem is now I also want the green handled ZDP-189 version, the all black half serrated version... I'll probably end up owning each color within a year or two haha! Seriously, it's an awesome EDC knife... just buy it. In a future Delica 5 version, I wouldn't mind seeing SPYDERCO add a compression lock, a G10 grip option (like they used to have with the D4!) and perhaps a better, more premium steel like CTS-XHP or S30V. And SPYDERCO, please offer an all-black DLC-coated blade option that is entirely smooth edge instead of just half serrated!
Review: Good EDC - I saw a few reviews in which buyers said they were counterfeit. I bought a counterfeit one on Walmart's site for $56, and noticed it was fake immediately. They refunded my money and I returned it to the store. So when I got this one I was suspicious, even though immediately I could see this one was much better quality. I've spent the past 2 days looking up counterfeits and how to spot them, and going over it with an eyeloupe looking at all the details. It checks all the boxes for a real Spyderco Delica 4, so if it's not real, it sure looks the part. The box and manual had all the correct printing, fonts, etc. The blade was hair-whittling sharp out of the box. The action was a little stiff at first, but with a pivot adjustment, some oil, and a little break-in period it's flickable, and the blade can be shaken down when unlocked (good action). The grind lines, jimping, and overall precision on the blade is immaculate. The FRN is real. I even have an older delica 4 that I know is real to compare it to and this one actually looks slightly better. Without sending it to Syderco for authentication, I can't be 100% certain it's real, but all indicators I can find say it is. That being said: The Delica 4 is a great EDC option. It's thin and lightweight, yet sturdy and very comfortable to hold. The thumb ramp and jimping offer great control, and the thin, flat-ground blade is very slicey. This is definitely more of a cutter than a piercer. The thin, tapered bladestock gets very thin towards the tip. VG10 is strong enough, and easy to sharpen. I did have one issue, the thumb hole. Spyderco doesn't finish the thumb holes so they have sharp rough edges. It makes for good grip, but it was carving a groove in my fingernail. After gently filing with a wet diamond file, just enough to smooth off those rough edges, now it's good to go.

**Q: Is this combo edge or plain edge?**
A: Thank you for contacting Top Quality Knives. Amazon is showing a combo edge, but the model number is for a plain edge. So if you order the knife through us you would receive a plain edge knife. **Q: Does this knife include a tool to unscrew the clip so it can be moved ?**
A: No. To remove the clip you'll need a t6 torx bit. To adjust the pivot you'll need a t8.

**Q: What country is this knife manufactured in?**
A: Seki City Japan. Using VG-10 steel, FRN handle scales. It's a good quality knife and I did a lot of research before buying it, but at the end I bought it mostly because I loved how it looked. If it were me, I would buy an Ontario Rat Model 2. It looks more simple, but the craftsmanship is way better, zero blade play and built like a rock. And it is half the price. Also look at the Benchmade Mini Griptilian.

A: Measuring the blade from the rounded edge of the handle to the tip it is just shy of 3 inches, approximately 2 15/16"

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid EDC for the $$

Perfect and brand new condition. Scored a nice 33% off deal which does not happen often in Spyderco especially in Zome Green! Razor sharp out of the box! Kudos! Blade alignment is dead center. Couple of drops of KPL blade oil and opens & closes one handed. And Spyderco FRN handle is super grippy even wet. Love it!! Finally, compared to sub $20 Ganzo knockoff (black), the Delica 4 is just that much better. Blade steel, fit & finish, color! Do yourself a favor set a price alert and wait for Spyderco discount during Fall Prime days. Those deals make this knife purchase even better for a highly rated, super lightweight EDC. Good luck!!
