I won't be able to attest to how long it keeps a charge, as I'm going to keep it plugged in. It does respond quickly to movement. I was able to place it where it wouldn't blind me. (LOL.) The one big drawback is the "3M" adhesion tape. I seriously doubt it's actually 3M brand. Instead of using the entire strip, I only should have used a small portion of it, as I now doubt I will EVER be able to remove it. I should have known. Grrrrrr.....
